WHAT A YOU DRIVING TO LE-MANS IN?
Discussion
Anyone else on the overnight Poole Cherbourg on Mon 10th? Making a week of it, only holiday this year. Never been before. Will be in a Chameleon Blue Tuscan. And I thought we didn't have much luggage space - you can hardly get a spare toothbrush in one of them Nobles! You're probably better off in the Golf!
New to PH as well - I'll get the hang of the little smilies soon!

Wezo, I've asked around and the answer's no - everyone will already be at Le Mans by Friday! Ok, I'm joking. Catching the 1.00pm Eurotunnel on the Thursday myself. Rosso Pearl Cerbera. Almost tempted to reschedule my ticket to early Thursday morning though as there seems to be so many other delectable motors crossing then. Is there noone going across on the Thursday afternoon (or Friday for Wezo)?
Thanks Ted for the stickers!!Were all stickered up (well the rear bumper is,the rest our going on our other cars and a few Vipers!!)Car serviced and Tuned up all ready to go,just need to sling some beer in the back! .............and maybe a tent/sleeping bag would be a good idea...........or should i just ditch them and have room for more beer?Does anyone know if you feel cold&wet when your pissed?
Going to LM2002 in my Ginetta G27 Going on Tuesday morning - don't want to miss any of the action - we arrived slightly too late on Wednesday last year and missed the first Qualifying session Although this might have had something to do with the car's dislike of the Foot&Mouth bath...
We should have a small convoy consisting of...
A 'Caterham' - only a couple of weeks old, but it's already been to Le Mans!! (for the PreQual weekend) although it's been modified by Freestyle Motorsports Solutions..
Impreza WRX sti
A 110 Landrover, necessary as all the rest of the cars have small-ish boots.
Going over on the Seacat, booked in to Camping Bleu, but will be reserving some 2003 & 2004 stuff soon as the ACO seem to have way too many buyers for too few stuff.. Second year we've been in Bleu. No doubt will see some of you there.
A few others will be turning up at other times through the week.... Griff 500, another Caterham and something else (not sure!).

Hi
Nope, we saw them (the blue Caterham) when we arrived at about 6 on Sat evening. This was a red one - can't miss it really, with a "Black Pack". Although we parked close to the entrance halfway along - which brings you in closest to the Start/Finish line, plus parked in Parking White on the Sunday.

Lensey, shame, think we must have arrived a couple of minutes later than you.. Mugged? Doesn't sound good - if you go next year look to stay in one of the hotels, I booked in to the Formule One (south) only a month or so ago, it's cheap and close to the circuit. There are other hotels, but they're booked up early..
Mungo - just watch on your return as the French Eurotunnel side has 'stealth' speed bumps - they look inconspicuous, white, but my friend in his Caterham just banged his sump twice - not something you want to do too often if at all. 'pologies if you've travelled on Le Shuttle before and know this. Although I think his Caterham is a little on the low side at the moment. What day are you travelling over on? We're going over on the Tuesday, Seacat. If yours crossing is later in the week I'm sure you'll see some other Brits heading for LM.
The new Peage is open (and you have to pay now!), but a little dull, not sure how busy it will be on the way back.. There aren't too many pay booths.. The road via Alencon is much more fun. If you're on your own you'll have to be prepared for at least the Peage to Rouen. Cost is 6.20 EUR

Simon,
Hi there, it's Simon P here - going to Le Mans with Pete O (in the Red Fury9R) and the rest of you lot in the BEC's. Sorry to ask you on Pistonheads rather than directly, but do you know if the spare car place is still available - or is it Mr Neall who is sorting it out?

I'm going down in the twin-engined Tiger Z100 along with I think 6 other bike-engined cars.
We are on the Newhaven-Dieppe ferry which sails around 7.30 on the Wednesday morning.
