Silverstone Classic – PistonHeads display – we need you!
Discussion
I can be there and want to be there for the whole weekend and this year I intend to take my Trojan Bubble car. This car was with a Heinkel Bubble at Santa Pod a couple of years ago to perform the first ever Bubble Drag Race
OR if weather not great I can take my Lotus M100 Elan. Now a rare classic and with a fresh new shiny skin!

I’m pretty local so can do the entire event.
Not sure if my cars are of interest. Certainly they aren’t expensive.
A pre-Defender Land Rover. Ie a 1979 Series III 88. It looks pretty standard, but is actually fairly modded. Runs a Discovery 200Tdi engine, Range Rover p38 power steering and custom suspension of my own design.

UPDATE
It's now looking highly likely that we'll have a parade lap for our 20 cars in our icon display each day at the Classic. This is an incredible opportunity to get your car out on track in front of 100,000 people on the full GP circuit at a steady pace. More information will be provided in due course and it will be optional.
We'll now be closing the application for the display after the Easter weekend on the 22nd April, when we'll be making our selection. The good news is the organisers have agreed to open up our club parking area (with an eligibility list); more details available here.
Thanks again to everyone who has applied so far – we've got so many stunning cars amongst us here on PH!

I have already purchased a full 3 day all in Club Package for the Event, so tickets already guaranteed.
I would be happy to drive up for the full Event and park up with yourselves in my Subaru Impreza WRX STi, picture attached.
It's an original UK car and one of a limited edition sold as "Spec D" with the Turbocharged 2.5 Litre boxer engine, full 4 wheel drive.
It's in perfect condition, except the original factory 17 inch wheels will be subject to a full refurbish with powder coat to bring the whole car to showroom standard.

A plus one for the RX7 making an appearance if there's space!
I'd also like to submit mine and my mum's cars - we're available all of the days and could attend all 3 if PH wanted us to
Mine is the RX8 R3 - one of the last 100 off the production line, marking it being one of the last ever production rotary engined cars sold in the UK - potentially for the rest of forever. It would look awesome running alongside that RX7 above It's also been bridgeported as any good rotary should so it braps and burbles like an RX7 on idle and sounds akin to the legendary 787B when the taps are opened up!
My Mum's car is this 2005 Land Rover Defender TD5 in "Classic Spec" in Caledonian Blue with white wheels and a white roof. It's a converted pickup Defender which, in true Land Rover style, has been bolted together in to exactly what it's owner wants! My mum doesn't like the looks being 'fussed with' so despite the car being a '54 plate she tries to keep it looking every bit as glorious as the defenders that came before it Don't confuse it with a garage queen, though, as it's used daily, covering about 50-60 miles a day!
