Hi All,

I need new top mounts and ARB bushes for my 06 VXR. I'm thinking I may as well refresh the whole front suspension as it's a little tired.

Would these be a straight replacement, and give the same ride/handling as standard:

Secondly, I need new pads for my AP brakes. I think I've seen a thread before asking for a link, but I can't find it. Can someone point me in the right direction please.

Thank you!

I want to keep standard rode characteristics. It's already pretty crashy on the roads round here.

I think Monkfish used to sell KYB suspension kits, but they decided to stay with pedders for some reason instead. As ever it depends on what you are after, and how you use the car. For a daily driver I can recommend the following, ( all pedders items) low suspension kit (not super low) drop links, top mounts and bearings, quick rack, road response pack and the rear end pack. OK that's quite a list but it sets the car up nicely, it gives the car a planted feel at speed and sorts out any odd tyre wear issues you may have. Whatever you go for remember to make sure the geometry is set up by someone who knows what they are doing. I would speak to Roger or Andy at pedders, they know these cars inside out...literally.

I forgot to mention my car is an 06 Monaro CV8, that had awful crashy suspension especially at low speed. With all the Pedders bits fitted, it's better than new.

Make sure the top mount bush comes with a new bearing. Early on in the piece they didn't. Holden then changed it and supplied it with the bearing. Aftermarket not so sure.
The Pedders top mount stuff look like rubber and not polyurethane so you should be ok there. Not sure they have the stabiliser bar links, they might be urethane from Pedders.
From my short research, An Opel Omega strut top mount is the same thing. SACHS 802-234 is one number coming up on both.
Personally I would get the Pedders ones, as they claim to be stronger.

With the pedders top mounts (rubber) and the drop link bushes, you will not see any increase in harshness.

I have a standard height peddars suspension on my VXR ro (with original springs) and its so much better than standard. The car is much more settled and composed, so highly recommended from me.

listings for strut top mounts are listed in the FAQ`s. the top mounts are the same as an Vauxhall Carlton.

What about Whiteline. they have a full range of bits and have dealers all over the uk.

I got my anti roll bars off them.

http://www.whiteline.com.au/do_segue4.php?make=HOL...

brake pads try a company called Circuit Racing Supplies. they do Ferodo pads to fit the AP kits
