I am looking for a good sports car for under 20k usd, currently located in the north east (united states). Doesn't have to be new but I plan on daily driving it. I like European and american sports cars, more than Japanese. Other than that I am open to most suggestions, including some well built kit cars like caterhams. I would like to be able to work on it/modify but if I cant it is not the end of the world.
Thanks

I'd go for a TVR Chim, had one a few years ago and was a event every time I used it.
It was fairly reliable as well, guess you could tune it if you wanted.

Don't know how values are holding In the states but if daily driven an early E92 M3 would be in budget here (even allowing for a dollar conversion)

Living in north-east USA, would it be summer use only? Boxster would be a good choice but you should be wary of what road salt etc may do to it...

Waaaahhhh! Best joke I've heard all day!

Caterhams are great but well built they are not. They do not last well when subjected to weather and road salt. Nor will you if you run one through the winter.

Don't get me wrong, a 7 is a fantastic sports car and if you want one then nothing else will do. However they take some living with. I wouldn't want one as my only car at any price.

wouldn't be summer only but i wont be driving it a ton in the winter, only a couple miles at most in the winter. Also dont the early boxsters have a ton of issues
