Do deals ever come up on BMW M140i's these days and if so, what sort of deals have been offered in the past (including M135i)?

I'm pretty sure the deal is specific to Warrington IMG?
Not quite. I talked to IMG in Warrington on Wednesday and they confirmed this deal 1 + 23 x £249 + £178.80 admin for 8k or 1 = 23 x £259 + £178.80 for 10k. I then went in to my local Seat dealer on Wednesday and they said this would make them no money and so they were not interested (small local dealer group here in Cornwall). So I rang the larger dealer group up in Plymouth (Vospers) and they agreed to match the IMG deal. I went to the dealer in Plymouth yesterday and paid £178.80 as a deposit on a Metallic black 5 door Cupra for 1 = 23 x £259. I talked to the Sales manager afterwards and he said they will make only around £100 on the deal and he nearly didn't agree to it! He said that Seat are struggling selling Cupra's and so have reduced the cost price in Q3 to encourage sales. The dealers then decide how much or little they need to make on this and set their pricing accordingly. He only agreed because his Sales Director lives in Truro and he will be happy to see a Cupra in Truro with Vospers plates on it (plus it helps with his Q3 volume bonus)!

The other thing with PCH from dealers is they arent looking specifically at one deal but bulk so while they may only make 100 from that vehicle it might tip them over the threshold for a larger bonus due to the bulk. The guy i spoke to said the dealer will always match others as it adds to the large pot in fleet. Their bonus system for fleet will be different to normal sales.

Wetherspoons principle, stack them high and sell them cheap i guess

Completely O/T, but I've always wondered this - do people actually look at the bottom of a number plate or at the annoying dealer stickers in the rear window / stuck on the boot (!) and think "Yes, I am going to go to that dealer for one of those." ??

When I was a nipper when I was in the car with my dad he used to tell me he could tell were the car came from by just looking at number plate, I know you can but literally he knew were every car was from, I was impressed - very impressed. It was only till I got to my early 20's and was regularly got stuck in traffic that I released he had been looking at the dealer info at bottom of plate.

I looked into this. Best bet is PCP through TRL. All details are on the Baby BMW forum.

I wanted a 240i but it was an extra £100 a month so gave it a miss!

This is not the type of car that I am looking for, but surely it can't be correct:

Well, after cancelling my golf GTi order a little over a month ago due to delays and buying a shed to tide me over until my Tesla model 3 arrives late next year and just randomly checking in on the lease deals thread .....I've just convinced myself that I shall take the 10 minute drive over to IMG Warrington in the morning to get myself a Leon 300 5 door DSG!

Anyone looking for an Audi should contact these guys to see what is the best they can do this weekend, this is the kind of event that the dealer was able to offer good discounts from.

Yep
If this is aimed at my pic and comment the only reason I posted it is because Audi lpool had a similar event last weekend where they were able to provide better lease deals than the brokers with no fees for both their stock and ordered cars. They were able to do this as they had additional finance over and above the manufacturers discounts for certain models.

If not then, yeah this is a lease thread so yah boo sucks!

Thanks FastWilley, I just called them and got a firm steer towards PCP, despite me telling them I was after PCH. Then I had to speak to someone else who wasn't free at the time. Difficult to get any indication out of them as to it being worth my while travelling the hour to their site, gave up in the end.
