Yes true, but not everyone does 10k miles a year and some run several cars in a household too so might be suitable

How much was it if you don't mind me asking? I have a wheel that needs refurbing I wasn't sure if I should get it done or not.
Definitely don't bother getting it done, I had several dents, scuffed alloys etc and I didn't get charged a penny. They provide a £150 allowance before you start getting charged.

I definitely won't be getting any minor stuff done in future, simply not worth it.

I agree with this.

However, they are not always reasonable. See my thread on allegedly unevenly worn tyres https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... The dispute is ongoing.

Just had an email from Keith at Central with some stonking offers, but this one caught my eye:

Just to let people know a little about the Guilia Veloce offers.

Coming in at under/around 25%. Donnelly Alfa Belfast matched Beechdale Derby.

Wanted and quoted with Misano Blue metallic making it 6+23 at £325.

Earlier that day I took a test in the Volvo S90. A stunning car, loaded with impressive tech and a beautiful place to sit. Problem being it didn't feel much different to my Citroen C6 Exclusive.

At Alfa I test drove the 1 showroom Misano they had. The "infotainment" and opulence aren't in the same league as the S90, but the drive is on another planet altogether!

Our minds were made up!

Problem being if anyone wants to spec their Guilia Veloces (as I did) the September 30th registration date will now be almost impossible to make. I wanted the yellow calipers paid option (+7 p/m) over the £325 Misano price above and free standard option on Tan leather. The Veloce will never be supported/subsidised to the same extent again after this quarter.

I ended up signing for the showroom Misano Blue with black leather and black calipers which they have now parked up for me inside. Took a little convincing as it had 49 miles on it and the black leather, but the missus didn't like the tan anyway (in another Guilia), and I guess I'll just have to convince myself those 49 miles didn't exist! (Well, I did about 9 of them!)

Going to register and collect a day before the September 30th cut off, in order to minimise the overlap on our other lease, the C4 Cactus Flair (which has been an unqualified success, and will be missed in it's own way!).

Moral of this story being, the Guilia Veloce is a dream machine, and time is short for anyone wanting a good deal on one.

Discounted price is £49K, I wouldn't use £71K as a headline for good deal. Also, carleasing online have them cheaper: https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/independent...

It was mentioned a couple of pages back, what cars are left. They also advertise Sport model which is not bad and doesn't have 21 inch wheels (which means more comfy ride).

What colour did you go for? I've gone for white as it was a no cost option but someone has mentioned metallic is only £1 a month more.

What date have you been given for delivery as well?

I went for white as I prefer it in white (plus it matches my 9GT)
I was quoted £20 more for another colour, a month I'm guessing..

Delivery mid to late October

Sorry to go off topic but do websites exist where you can advertise your existing lease car to see if anyone wants to take it on?

I'm nearly 2 months into a 24 month deal on my 4C spider anniversary and I'm considering trying to pass it on.

It's a stunning machine the Giulia! I had a look into this deal but the only thing is excess mileage seems to be 19p per mile?! Carculated covered this here:

It seemed cheaper to pay up front for the miles when I got quotes on the phone.

Excess mileage on my deal is 18.6p, I paid around 9p/mile to add 2k per year to my deal.
