The Tiguan deal (adjusted to a 3+23) is only c.10% less than I'm paying for a Touareg RLine Plus laugh
I think you've mentioned your deal before - that's not the normal sort of price, didn't you get pretty well the last of the old Touaregs available?
I did get the last R Line Plus, but whilst the deal I got was OK at c.24% of list, I don't think it was particularly outstanding when compared to the Touareg deals of 2 years ago, or some of the other deals posted on here recently (Octavias or Leons, for example).

But the Tiguan is c.32% on 3+23, 12.5k miles... which is miles off

I have a deal for a Tiguan R-Line that's £285pcm here (for the 150PS model) so I'm hoping that the prices on that will come down a fair bit on Friday with dealer contributions factored in.

Then again I saw a Karoq review this morning and it was reckoned to be very good and will be cheaper, so I might hold on for those to come on stream.

Still waiting for Ford to do a silly deal on a mustang - i may be too old to drive by the time they do that though frown
Same... I don't see it happening though, RH Mustangs are not being over-produced right now.
Aren't they putting the price up a fair chunk as well?

Is this a good deal?

Personal lease with 10,000 miles per year

£2700 and £225 PCM over 3 years for a Nissan X trial 7 seater. comes to £10,800 working out at £300 a month overall?
At first glance I would say no, but you don't mention spec, engine, transmission or if it's the facelift model. If it was a Tekna auto it would be a good deal. Tekna manual It would be ok. Anything else it's not great. About a month ago I got a quote for the facelift Tekna manual at around £205 on 9+23, 8k.

But the question is are you looking to get that car, or a great deal?

A facelift 1.2 petrol Qashqai Tekna with Glass Roof pack and metallic paint can be had for £192 on 6+23 10k p/a. Which still isn't a particularly amazing deal

Yeah 2018 facelift expected to land with a price hike too.

Which probably means there won't be much more incentives needed to shift any pre-2018 models frown

Don't think maintenance would be worth the extra £33 per month if only doing 10,000 miles

And does the rest of it look okay?

Also what is the general view on Select Car Leasing? Some of the deals they have are pretty good.

I have used them in the past with good results, spoke with a chap called Shane Pither who has been excellent.

After speaking with VW chat my car arrived at the dealer yesterday. Spoken with the broker to get a delivery date arranged but they seem a bit slow to respond and chase dealer.

Has anyone chased dealer directly after going through a broker or would the dealer just tell me to go away

biggrin

Totally un-related to select, but IMO whilst it has plenty of positives, PH is not the right forum to get a balanced opinion on companies/dealers. It needs to be just as easy to post a negative experience, otherwise too easy for the unscrupulous to take advantage.

I had a not so good experience with select car leasing a while back. Car secured, went through the full finance application which was accepted, 2 weeks later told the car was allocated to someone else, and offered me the same car for more money which pushed it well over my budget. Ended up going with a different broker.

Tried again recently to get a quote from them and they said they'd get back to me..never did!

Of course I've heard good things about them from this forum, may be my bad luck.

You're the customer, broker just introduced you. Previous posts on this thread seem to concur dealers are usually happy to deal with you once you've signed and often often more proactive.

I bet if the shoe was on the other foot and you pulled out they’d still want to charge agency fee!

I’ve had that before where a car hasn’t even been sourced as BMW were dragging their feet (640d a couple of years ago) and I never even got a delivery date so I pulled the plug. They threatened legal proceedings! I didn’t pay and wrote to them ‘clarifying’ the situation.

Hi Skaif,
Yes I ordered the Traveller end of August with Vehicle Savers. I too received the same email as you. This was contrary to an email from them a couple of weeks ago stating it would be ready for delivery in mid December.
I need a car for Christmas at the latest so I’m very disappointed.
Contacted Peugeot who can give nothing other than they may have an update in January. Asked for a courtesy car which they said to ask the supplier... asked Vehicle Savers and they said contact Peugeot. Asked for refund of the £360, as I was promised the car for Christmas at latest, which I got a point blank no so am stuck waiting. An offer of a switch to an in-stock deal would of been better than nothing.
frown
It's not your job to be chasing Peugeot and for VS to not give your admin fee back is poor service imo. Tell them (politely) that you had an expected delivery date in Dec and that an update from Peugeot in January will likely mean a delivery date in Feb or March. Ask for a refund of your admin fee or otherwise you'll do a charge-back/section 75 claim (if you paid via debit/credit card). They'll soon get the message or they'll arrange for another vehicle in the meantime.

For future reference, take any expected delivery date for a factory order vehicle with a very big pinch of salt. I add 50% to avoid myself disappointment.

You'll struggle to get anything more than a Leon. Your price range will get you a Fabia/Octavia or a poverty spec Astra/Focus. Suggest you go to Contract Hire and Leasing, WhatCar leasing and Honest John leasing to get some prices.
