It's absurd wanting to lease the Leon 300 when I do a good 12k miles/annum, but boy am I tempted. Would be so much more enjoyable than something more economical...
Exactly my thoughts. Lee from IMG confirmed they can offer 10k pa for £259pm or 12k pa for £269 so I've sent in my finance app & driving license and wait to hear.I was looking to put down an initial of £1,500, and for 12k was offered £224.40, which works out more than your £269x24 figure, unless I'm going mad. HMMM.
I'm looking for a great EV deal, for a short station commute - only need 5k/yr.
Haven't found one yet (please shout if you have)
It looks like CVL have a coupleof decent offers on Golf GTE PHEV's though:
GTE Advance £2k +180/m all ex vat, 5k miles, 24m
https://www.centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/vehicle/...
GTE £2k+150/m all ex vat, 5k, 24m
https://www.centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/vehicle/...
It's a nice looking car, but niche interest I suspect. 8k miles only £10/m more.

Not sure if it's something that ticks the box for you.

Surely the signed order form counts as a contract?
Have you pointed that out to them? I suppose in theory you could lease somewhere else and sue them for the difference.Mind you, in the Jeep debacle, Mangoletsi actually took deposits off people, then just sent them back.
Email from IMG Seat:
"Your finance is in place, your car has been ordered. Estimated delivery to us will be October. You will just have to bare with us and I will update you as and when you require. I hope this is acceptable."
So, looks like it's all in place. Went for white, DSG, upgraded sound and winter pack (the misses is a sucker for heated seats). Added a few quid per month so i think it creeped over 300pm although still very reasonable IMO and I think it still works out at about 22% of car value, so well below the 25% of what is considered a good deal.

I've got a gripe with VW relating to a order form too - in April, order a Golf GTi, the excess mileage charge on the order form says 6.98ppm + VAT, it's finally close to delivery and the lease agreement now says 9ppm + VAT. They say the order form had the wrong price in error, and it's just tough luck essentially. I'd be curious to know if the order form has any legal status, but my instinct is that it doesn't.

So been following this thread for a while now
Snapped up an order for a golf R last week and been massively let down by central vehicle leasing being told they don’t have a car anymore.
so on the hunt for something else as my current car lease is ending in September
How did this happen? I also ordered through CVL first thing on Tuesday morning, paid admin fee etc. What stage did you get to?Snapped up an order for a golf R last week and been massively let down by central vehicle leasing being told they don’t have a car anymore.

sighed order form on one and sent back, finance all agreed, kept saying they were going to try and swap me into my first colour choice but had secured a car, I managed to contact the dealer who told me they never had a car for me IGM83 said:

Hmm, that is really st. I must admit, Scott phoned me before 8am last Tuesday morning and basically said we need the order back ASAP, or there will be no car. I've had all the necessary follow up, order number etc. Have you seen their deal in the Leon Cupra Estate? Would make for a pretty good alternative if you're willing to use them again.
Good luck with your hunt.
Are there ever any reasonable deals for high mileage? Something like a medium to large exec - preferably hatch/ estate for under £300 a month doing 30k a year?
High mileage means something with very good mpg, suitable for motorways, so probably diesel, although ideally not if can get good mpg out of a petrol (40+mpg)
Cheers

Hi All,
Just normally a casual browser but this thread got my attention (what a bad move that was) and I've decided to get a new car
Anyone seen a better deal on the s3 over 24 months then then ones posted above?
I've been going on some lease sites and can't find anything better.
Also any other deals on similar cars, For 6/23 around £250-£300 a month, 8k or lower?
Thanks,

for that kind of mileage I would be tempted to find something reliable with low mileage and buy. Skoda probably fits the bill.High mileage means something with very good mpg, suitable for motorways, so probably diesel, although ideally not if can get good mpg out of a petrol (40+mpg)

Not sure that the lease option includes many bargains when the mileage goes beyond about 15k, and 60k miles over 2 years is plenty of opportunity to pick up costly "wear and tear".
£12k will get you a 2 year old Octavia with sub-20k miles on it. Drive for a couple of years and sell on, or keep if you like it. Or go for Kia etc with long warranty.
(sorry - I know that this is the lease thread - not sure that the equation works in this case but more than happy to be corrected!)
edit - shows how much I know - just had a quick look and there are a few options available:
