Were Jags offered with standard spec or metallic paint was included in price? Stock or factory order cars? Anyone tried matching it with different dealer?
When I spoke to Dan at Harwoods, they were offered with standard spec, e.g. no metallic. I'm in the same position as the others, went through credit check yesterday, but haven't received any quote or finance docs through yet. I took a lower mileage which brought the cost down a bit. Excess mileage is 10.2p a mile. The funder seems to be Lex Autolease.

Perhaps the wrong thread to post this but just had the inspection done on my Mercedes by BCA (financed through MBFS)
The chap was excellent and very fair. Only 1 small charge which was completely fair and expected. Wanted to share this as I know people worry when returning their cars. I had this idea in my head of being stung with huge charges!
When my Golf R was ready for returning, I had 2 kerbed alloys on it, right on the lip on both front ones. Fortunately I never got charged for it as like yourself I'd heard horror stories and ludicrous charges when returning the car. When I asked the inspector, he said they've been told to be a bit more lenient as it's a 2 year lease. Again inspected by BCA.The chap was excellent and very fair. Also how was the car stolen if you don't mind? I was always told it's almost impossible to steal modern cars without the keys.
Unfortunately you were told wrong. There are a number of ways that modern OCGs involved in this sort of theft can defeat the security of a vehicle without keys these days. There is actually a proper shop (abroad - though online too) whose sole business is selling the equipment needed to do it - I wont name them obviously! Just to follow up with anyone who is interested in the 5 day driveaway insurance with Audi. It's all very simple and organised over the phone.
Number is 08003167893. You will be allowed 3 additional drivers. They will just need name and date of birth; they don't ask about points or accidents. You will need to know your dealer post code at least

Hi
I need some urgent help. I know this about lease deals but everyone seems fairly clued up on the whole lease experience.
My second least car a Golf GTD is due to go back.
I have had a slight incident with clipping a barrier in a car park. 5 photos on link below show damage caused to my alloy. It is a few inches in from the outside edge and has engraved a nice mark into the spoke.

I have been getting mixed messages as what step to do to get it returned and need some clarity please. My options below:
1. Get it refurbed myself at around £100
2. Give it back as it is and challenge that it is within the fair wear and tear as it is indeed a scratch and under the 50mm for that wheel?
3. Give it back as it is and allow VW to charge me as it is cheaper than having it done myself.
I think option 2 is unrealistic.
So looking at option 3 and speaking to VWFS there is a general £36 allow refurbishment fee they charge. In peoples opinions would this amount of damage be covered under the general £36 refurbishment fee as they arent giving me any help to what extent of damage this cost covers.
I have also contacted BCA who will be doing the inspection and they are also being very vague.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as i dont want the inspection guy to turn up and say the wheel is not repairable. I also dont want to wait until the inspection, as the inspection is only a week before the car goes back and I may not be able to get it refurbed in time. I cant delay the return as then i will have to do the second service!!
Thanks in advance

Do people get their lease cars detailed? I've had a quote of £400 for a new car detail and protection with Gyeon ceramic coating - heart says yes as it's hard to keep black looking good, head says fk that it's going back in 2 years.
Depends how much you can live with the inevitable swirl marks and marring you get with black paint. For leasing I would say forget it. If you are worried about the state of the paintwork before handing back then give it a good clean and clay, couple of coats of Poorboys Black hole glaze to fill the swirls and then a coat or two of Natty's Blue. It will end up looking better than it did when you picked it up and would probably cost no more than £50 in materials and an afternoon's elbow grease.
i haven't yet but at some point I will do my own Fiesta, only light swirling on the whole car but the bonnet is "pretty" bad. Certainly I'd need to spend a solid day on it to get it to the point where I'd consider putting a coating on it.

With a diamond cut face that isn't going to be easy to repair. I'd be going with option 3 and hoping I don't get stung for too much of a bill.
True. I was hoping somebody on here could shed some light on to what the refurb fee from VW covers. I dont want to be left with a charge for a new wheel as i have spoken to a few who could refurb itSrl24 said:

I'd let VWFS deal with it. Partly because it's less hassle but also the last thing you want to do is have it refurbished then have VWFS say it's not been done to a good enough standard and charge you anyway. Not talking from personal experience but from what I've read on forums and the like.
