I extended. They offered very very favourable terms to the point where it would have been madness to say no. I added mileage as well though so not sure how it would affect your monthlies specifically.

Overall I think credit where it's due, VWFS seem to be very fair. Car went back with no damage charges even though I was sure I'd be charged. Had virtually zero fuel in it, again not a problem. All good.
Will I get away with the fuel gauge showing zero? Petrol station about half a mile away and there's more than enough to get there.

Has anyone signed up to the IMG Seat deal in the last few days? What delivery dates are you getting?

My wife's Focus is due back mid September but I'm sure I'd seen October mentioned somewhere for delivery which would mean keeping the Focus longer (if allowed) and it'd need it's first MOT and a service.

Got quoted for the ST Manual and its hard to argue with the price.
Done mine today and was told late November. Just as a point of reference for you in regards to updated delivery dates.

I didn't ask him to confirm. Is it the new ingenium 2.0 200ps petrol engine we will be getting. It's quicker than the old ST engine placed in the XE, 0-60 in 6.7 secs rather than 7.3 from memory and increased mpg 45

I only did my deal yesterday for the jaguar. I got the very last of the extra batch of XE's as I was very high up the waiting list. I did want an XF but they are long gone.

Could some one confirm when they actually have a written confirmation! This deal is half the price of other dealers yet they should all have the same access to discounted lease deals. Makes me a little suspicious to be honest
I rang this afternoon for an update.
I ordered last Thursday.
I still have no written confirmation. But again was assured I had a car. He looked up My order and read it back to me. I was told roughly end of September delivery.
He did say that they had basically had 2 months work to do in 2 days. They didn't have the systems in place to deal with this deal that happened so quickly.
We just have to bear with them I guess. No other choice.

My dash readout said zero miles left. I stressed to the collection guy he should go straight to the garage at the end of the road. He was fine with that. If he hadn't been, I'd have driven it there put a fiver in and driven it back.

I was quoted almost twice as much to extend. I couldn't believe it, especially as heard of similar success stories like yourself. I'm stumped why I should be treated differently!? Anyway ive started a fresh and ordered the same vehicle on a 3 year lease but still don't understand the system frown

It seems it is 20£ a month on all the months including the down payment so actually 20x29=580£ seat fixed price services are 1st@10k 179£, 2nd @20k 239£ and then every 10K @159@ so potentially if I do 40k in 2 years it is 736£? is my maths right? In this case it would make sense to take it as it includes tyres as well.. what do we think?
If it includes tyres then its a good price. I'm paying £34 a month for maintenance and tyres on my scirocco R on a 11k per mile!

Do VWFS / BVRLA care about fuel / washer fluid levels? My car has about 3 litres of fuel (plenty to get to the nearest fuel station, although the needle indicates it has none), and washer fluid level is low.
Just put a tenner in and some water in the screen wash!
Have you really spent the last few days agonising over wether you need to put a few quid in the fuel tank? You wouldn't be happy if turned up with 0 miles range so unless you're really that hard up just go and put some fuel in it....

A year into my Audi A6 Allroad lease and I'm very happy with it. It's through Lex Autolease and when I called them to update my home address today, I discovered that some of their lease cars, including mine, cannot have a mid-term change of mileage. It's not a massive issue for me but it's a little inflexible so bear it in mind if you're leasing from them. They may change this policy for 2018, so I'll speak to them again towards the end of this year, but it's not certain.

I put a tenner or so in my last one before collection. Might help to put the guy doing the inspection in a good mood biggrin

Haha not at all agonising. Just thought it was worth spending 15 seconds asking the question on here than spending 10 minutes and £10 filling up. Turns out it was worth it - they don't care about fuel as long as they can reach the nearest station :-)

Hi,

I am new to leasing and have recently put on order for the new Cupra 300. Can anyone provide any advice as to whether GAP insurance is required and where is the best place to get it? If there is any other forum for this then please point me in the right direction.

Cheers
