So glad I jumped onto the July GTi deals rather than wait and see. Given there have been a couple of decent GTi deal promotions recently I guess VW reckon they have put enough of them on the road for now.

The GTE deal I got at £286 on a 1+23 is similar to these new ones. Glad I didn't wait.

Ok, it’s 4 years and you have to fold your own door mirrors in but at under £23 a week it’s about the cheapest new car I can find.

6+47 @ £89.99 for 8k miles pa.

https://www.wearcarleasing.co.uk/personal-lease-ca...

No additional fees.
6 +23 10k miles is £128.39 incl VAT

By that email I was under the impression there will be no support for anything other than 3x35 so not even worth bothering asking for a x23 quote?
Christ alive, It's just an example!
I doubt anyone on here is going to be jumping into the 3+35 10k deal! You'll be able to get 5k, 10k, 3+ 1+ 9+ £2000+ 2 year 3 year 4 year you name it.

Quite disappointed - I was waiting for one of these deals.....

Specifically the Tiguan and even that is not looking great...

My gut feeling is that you'll be able to vary the mileage and up-front payment, but the contract length on these 'specials' won't negotiable. Or, more to the point, don't expect hugely attractive two-year deals given that the three-year ones are so poor.

Happy to be proved wrong, as usual. smile

It won't be 3 years only, it's just an example.

Even worse when you read the reviews of that engine and gearbox combo. I've got a quote for a 150ps in white that's £290 or so a month, but I'm hoping Listers' improved deal will be somewhat cheaper. I may be inclined to see what Q1 2018 brings, though. This quarter's been quite disappointing.

This is exactly what I was thinking as below is what was on the email I received.

VW said:
Please submit your quote request and preferred options (if any) or whether you’re looking for standard cars (White Golf R, Urano Grey Golf, White Tiguan) along with terms of agreement as follows, the more information you give, and more specific you can be, the quicker you will receive a quote:

- Car Spec from list below – including any options if amendable (some cars may be at status 10 or below, we should therefore be able to change to what you would like)
- Initial rental - this is actually easier if you give me a rounded figure e.g. £1000 / £2000 due to additional offers being put in
- Annual Mileage
- Personal or Business Contract Hire
- Maintained or non
- Submit proposal form if you’re more or less ready to go – please find attached
Doesn't ask for term lenght there.

If you’re looking for a C43 you’ll get a far better deal picking up a stock vehicle early next year. In terms of price I think you’ll struggle to pick one up for less than £400 per month based on 9+23 10000 miles per annum. Realistically I would expect to pay ~£430 per month. In terms of AMG products Pantheon are normally the most competitive and always have a steady flow so might be worth starting with them early next year and see who can beat them.
Thanks!!!

You will see rates drop come Friday as dealers put contributions enabling lower payments.

Lets see what Friday brings. Remain optimistic, after all they still need to shift these units.

I had a 2014 manual and can relate to some of those issues - at these prices I haven't even given the idea of another any thought - I'd sooner have a Tiguan.

They're certainly not bad cars (want dodgy CarPlay? Try my A4 - very patchy success rate with it!), but it left me cold ultimately and a DSG car is surely going to be one step further removed?

Equally the S4 left me cold though - nicely built and straight-line lace aplenty, but that's it - not worth the money for me. Would rather a cheap wagon and spend more on my fun car(s). Each to their own I guess.

Back on topic, I'm hoping Listers can make a good contribution and get those Tiguan prices down. If not I'll roll the dice and see what Q1 2018 throws up.

Since these mega cheap lease deals appeared a couple of years ago (?) I have wondered if it was almost a loss-leader to get people away from PCP to renting.

Then gradually up the costs to where they should be for a new car.

In my family there are now 5 people leasing new cars at cheap prices, 3 years ago they were in second hand cars paid cash or PCP.

Most of them wont want to go back to cash & second hand cars................................bingo.

Given how many of these cars are diesel, i wonder what impact any diesel tax in the budget later will have on the prices?

Could make them look even more undesirable.

Did anyone order the Peugeot Traveller deal that was posted here a while back through VehicleSavers.com?

Just got an email saying that its been delayed:

"It has come to our attention that there has been a big delay on Peugeot Travellers being built. We have been informed by the dealer that all of our orders have been pushed back in to next year. We understand that this is not what you or your customers want to hear but on this occasion we are totally at the mercy of Peugeot and their factory. Please see the below that I have been sent from the dealer regarding this situation.

“I have also spoken to Peugeot Supply & Distribution regarding the situation, they have advised that the only updates they have at the moment are the vehicles are due to go into production early next year and can’t give any further information, which is understandably not acceptable for you to update your customers. They have advised that your customers can contact Peugeot Customer Care 0845 200 1234 if they wish to discuss the matter.”

If your customers wish to contact Peugeot directly then they can do on the above number (0845 200 1234), they will need to quote their factory order number."

Now they want me to chase up Peugeot? What am I paying their above average £360 admin fee for exactly?!
