I have had a Panamera turbo for sale, very, very well priced for the last 6 or so months. I think I have finally sold but what a pain. I guess the things that put people off are:

1) stumping up a fair wad of cash for a 2010 car
2) well, cannot think of anything else.

My next car I would hopefully like to sell quicker. I am thinking of a luxury saloon as I have 3 kids. Any pointers?

I take it you are reselling private?
I think it comes down to price point.
Most punters above about £10k want finance options and dealer warranty.
And also the fact that used lux saloons are pretty unfashionable these days - most want an SUV or something cheaper / newer / more practical.

Which leaves you at the mercy of dealer trade in prices so they can shoulder the risk... or a long wait for the right buyer.

Think the issue is I found people don't like to hand over more the £20k to an individual, I would say get a garage to sell on commission for you..

I'd like to think so, especially in this bracket of car - Not to mention they're a more common sight in comparison to a Panamera, making them easier to shift

How long will you keep the car, what mileage will you put on it?
Does brand bother you, luxury I understand is the main objective?
Do running costs matter?

Not sure on the market as it's not the type of car for me, but what about A7's? Or even RSx Avant's?

I had a 750LI previously. That was a real ball ache to sell as well. It seems only a few people like myself like 5-liter petrol engines

Yes I am thinking of a petrol S class, Audi s8 but I suspect they are also a pain to sell later?

RS 6 - probably the only thing that will match the pace of the turbo, m5's are also available so maybe not

To be honest I think any big engine luxury car will not be the easiest thing to sell on privately.
The other thing to consider is maybe a big hybrid Ls Lexus.

S-class hybrid will retain its value better than any of its diesel counterparts.

Surely this is perfect criteria for a lease? Just fund the depreciation and let someone else worry about moving it on.
