Mini Cooper 3dr Chilli pack in Moonwalk grey 6+35 8k miles

Stock car. So not facelift.

£1115 Down

£186 Monthly

Doesn't seam to bad for a MINI with chilli pack.
Not a bad deal. Who is it with?

I did try to get one of these, albeit with 5 doors, for very a similar price as above but the broker didn't get back in touch (can't even remember who it was now). A look on their website showed they were all gone by the end of the next day. Not surprising!

I'm going for another, again with 5 doors, in a not-so-appealing colour, with 15K miles/annum and 3 months down at £232/month. A fair deal, methinks, for something a little different to anything I have driven previously.

Small update on my A5 situation - they're saying delivery by end of August, but have offered me some alternative cars - all of them at least £1k more over the term, however. Just had a quick chat with my missus and she wants to cancel.

If anybody is interested in a black A5 Sportback, 2 litre TFSI, with the tech pack, for August delivery and about £8.5k over the term PM me, but do so quickly as I'll be pushing the cancel button soon I expect.

Yes, please. Hopefully, I'll be in one of these in a couple of weeks as it's in stock. With the right colour and wheel combo, they're quite handsome cars. It was a choice between this or a well-appointed Ford Focus ST Line (which is also in stock) but the MINI wins the contest.

You have to bear in mind that since the prices on the A4 have shot up from their first release, on the initial really cheap offers, they can sometimes base any extension of the contract on the new prices going for the same car at that time. It's not always the case though and can vary.

I'll be honest, i was simply more than happy to hand mine back at the end. I really didn't want to extend it any longer than required.
Extended mine for 3 months on same terms. £220 per month. I was initially on a 3+23. Avant sport. 1.4. Took about 10 mins. Try again, possible just down to individual I'd suggest.

Hi
Long time reader, first post. Ordered an A4 Avant on 16th March (1+35) order number received but 6 weeks on (approx) it is still at the first point on the tracker. Was 12-14 weeks delivery time quoted me having my chain yanked by the broker? Or will it suddenly jump along the tracker? Dealer used is Blackburn Audi. Thanks All.
Ordered A5 end of Jan. It sat in tracker with zero movement beyond the "welcome" stage until 7th March when it moved to order accepted with build date of 2nd April.

Build actually started on 29th March and by 6th April was waiting at the docks in Germany. It then took until today to make it to dealer.

So I wouldn't necessarily be worried, but there's no guarantees until you get the call to pick it up.

That's quite a lot more than some of the recent mini deals. Got myself a 5dr Cooper SD Chilli pack + Media XL for £174 on 6+35 10kpa back in Jan from Arval

This might be a stupid question sorry:
I have been given a delivery date of S6 way earlier than I wanted. But as part of the mail from dealer confirming this they are offering to pick me up from the station, buy me lunch then collect the car. The dealership is 180 miles away. Would my mileage allowance start at collection or would that be taken in to account? It matters because excess mileage on S6 deal is brutal.
Thanks.

Yes of course it would. Pass on the offer of the stty free lunch and ask them for a price for trailered delivery if you are bothered about the miles...

Or start ownership with a nice road trip

How much is excess mileage?

Wouldn't even need to be trailered, the miles would start from the delivery regardless. But sounds a better deal than schlepping round the country to end up paying extortionate excess mileage!

I don't want to sound like a nob - but if your that worried about a bit of extra mileage - why run a car like a S6?

180 mile journey at say 14p miles if you go over your allowance is £25.20 - probably fuel will be similar if not a bit more depending on journey.

I know for example when my golf r was sent to me - my 10k miles start from when I signed for the car - car had think it was 83 miles on it (driven from Poole VW.) - so yes your lease will start when you sign it as you verify the mileage.

The small print of a contract I read said driven delivery mileage comes off your allowance, I think it was a VAG contract (I've ordered a SEAT Leon but can't remember if it was my own contract I read!)

Some lease companies don't start the contract after delivery, they'll include the delivery in to your total allowance

Pretty sure the excess miles charge is about 40ppm.

Regarding sounding like a nob, it's not as simple as that. Cars like the S6 these days are within the grasps of many people who have a reasonable about of disposable income, like myself.

I too have signed up for an S6, and whilst I am happy with the excellent deal, it's still a fair amount of money to spend on a car. I wear an expensive watch and like a lot of people we spend well over £100/week in Sainsburys. We have two kids who cost us a lot of money and a house that costs a lot to heat in winter. So whilst as a family we probably turn over £2-3k per month, I still buy the reduced price sandwich for my lunch, best before today! Likewise when my S6 is ready, as much as I'd love to visit Poole Audi to collect it and drive it back to East Sussex, I might not, because of the mileage.

If however I was the type to pop to my local dealership and hand over £70k for a car, I'd probably be less concerned. smile

As delivery is included in these deals, I would have thought that if you offer/agree to collect the car, thus saving THEM the delivery costs, they would allow you the extra mileage. Well, they definitely should, but I guess they probably wouldn't.

Can't imagine agreeing to 40ppm excess charge and then worry about doing more miles than contracted. It spoils the whole deal. Dealer may not want to pay for delivery and then you just suck it up. But I think VWFS might be paying for that. When "my dealer" in Scotland didn't want to pay for delivery to Surrey, I asked how much would it cost. Next day they said it's free and car came on flatbed from Milton Keynes.

The dealer has no say on if the delivery mileage is included in the allocated agreement mileage, it's down to the lease company. I'd be pushing for delivery via trailer/transporter. Everywhere I've worked has delivered that way for anything more than 100 miles unless agreed with the customer beforehand.
