Being in the motor trade for 20 years and working closely with manufacturers and working for a manufacturer in a previous role writing end user terms for customers gives me a little bit of knowledge on the subject smile

Discounts improve year on year generally speaking as the car recoups it's costs, a new model usually has a far better residual value than it's outgoing counterpart, so the level of discount required is lower than the previous model would require to get to a similar monthly cost. There are exceptions such as VAG who will choose to punt a load of money behind certain new products such a Golf R, petrol A4 etc to get them moving
You contradict yourself with your first and final points.
That's kind of how exceptions work.
And "generally"

Just pummelled the grapefruit on the Leon Cupra 300 Estate.

Wasn't necessarily what I was looking for, but just can't get over how good a deal it is and I can get June delivery to match my current car going back. They said delivery could be sooner but they're quoting "worst case scenario 20-22 weeks.- if it comes earlier then its no problem to hold it".

Lookers Seat Stockport
9+23
10k p/a
Metallic paint
£1850 initial
£205 / month
inc VAT
No fees and in fact nothing to pay whatsoever until delivery - which is also free
Been speaking to Carly myself today and I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the same deal tomorrow, mine works out at £6580 all in for the same package on 6+23, so not a huge difference in the overall cost.
This is not the DSG version right? I had a quote from Carly just before Xmas and that was coming out at 1700 down and £282 month which is a big difference. Must not have the same support, shame.

Guys... my R estate goes back in June and I too am seriously considering this as a replacement.

Does anyone know what differences there are between this and the R estate. Very similar performance... but i mean differences such as digital cockpit, heated seats, standard satnav etc. Anyone? ACC as standard?

Also, what colours were available for no additional fee?

Thanks

Hi Marcus, if I recall from looking into this performance is going to be very similar just under 5sec for both. Leon as of 2018 has digital dash. Heated seats no, sat nav yes. ACC not as standard but Leon has adaptive dampers as standard. DSG 4Drive version which we want unfortunately does not seem quite as good a deal as the manual.

How can they say no initial rental when it's a 3+23 profile?

Hi guys

First of all want to thank everyone on this forum, the advice and deals have been superb, so much so I ended up taking the Vrs 245 deal back in Oct/Nov.

Would like some advice please, my order for the 245 has slipped to may from March when I was supposed to pick it up, my current lease ends in March so was thinking of ditching the 245 deal. This deal works out £6300 over the term so %21.

I've seen the V90 r design deal on here 2 years 10k per year works out 7800 over the term so 20% of list and can be delivered for march.

Just wanted to ask, would you guys wait and hold out for the 245 or take the V90 deal?

Thanks for the help guys, appreciate it.
If you do want to ditch it and it's auto then I would take that for you, saving the fees. Just mail me. Cheers

We were tempted by the Cupra ST deals but it looks as though June delivery is all they are quoting now which is a month or so too far for me.

I've sent my application over for an Audi A5 Sportback SE TFSI S-Tronic on a 3+23, 8k pa, £245.90 inc VAT with £299 document fee. I'm still unsure if i'm really gonna go ahead with it but the guy who i spoke to advised that these are limited build slots and are being allocated quickly, so i thought i'd go for it while i continue to think it over. This could just be a simple sales tactic but these are good value for what they're worth. Looking at a 12-16 week lead time for delivery.

"Sport Nodel"

Shambles.

I spent a week trying to lease a car from them a couple of years back before giving up and going elsewhere. Must have phoned them 8 times and never once got a call back or quote emailed to me (spoke to 2 different sales people).

Cracking car and what I have been hankering for - but the more i delve on this thread the more it seems taking on board higher mileages of circa 15k pa makes leasing less attractive :-(

Is that right?
I do 15k/yr. I'm also self employed, so there's value in having a reliable car requiring minimal maintenance.

It depends on your financial circumstances whether you feel leasing is right for you or not.
Typically the total lease costs increase by 10-20%, when going from 10k to 15k. Which is good value in my eyes.

If I only did 5k/yr I doubt I'd lease - most likely buy a s/h Porsche/Lotus and sell the car 1-2yrs later with minimal depreciation. Leasing then looks proportionally more expensive to my eyes. But each to their own.

I didn't ask for a quote on the DSG as I know it'll be out of my budget. Think it's a £1400 increase on the manual so divide that by 32 and you won't be far off I reckon - £2250 initial, £250/month on 9+23 would be my guesstimate. Probably slightly less than that once they factor in residuals.

Hi, did you go to them directly or through a website?
