My main use for the VC is to have a zoomed in view of maps. It let's me get a good id a of how sharp next corner is. I then have a medium zoom view on centre to check what's coming up after the next corner.
I assume it's a wind up but you nearly got me ! ;-)
Hmmm I responded to it as well, gullible tongue out

Not entirely sure I get you!? this is the way I use it for the more fun roads up north. Its nice to judge your speed a little better rather than getting caught out with a corner that is sharper than expected.

Well that contradicts my recent experience handing my B9 A4 sport back. It'd been keyed the whole length of one side and also on the bonnet by some tts and the nice BCA man charged us £295 and said we could always contest it and we might not even be charged at all if our next lease is through VWFS (which it is). Waiting for the final paperwork to arrive in the post so I'll report back to confirm the damage.
But that's good, isn't it? £295 for the whole side? It's better than: "Body panel damage requiring repaint £110".
Yep totally - I was just contradicting Dazzling's point about Audi charges being different/higher than VWFS.

Where was this?
Central, although this price was for solid colours only of which there are none left, the metallic and privacy glass adds £38 per month so the monthlies would be £375.

Good Afternoon

Thank you for your email and please accept our apologies in the delay in responding to your query.

In reply to your questions;

-The termination date starts from when the vehicle is collected.

-The early termination figure is based on a percentage of the outstanding rentals. In your case, currently it is 55% of the remaining rentals.

-We do not use that vwfs matrix you have attached. Upon inspection, the BCA inspector will go through the charges with you, should you have any. The charges vary depending on what the damage is and what type of refurbishment is required.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

If the chip is within the driver’s line of sight, the windscreen would need replacing. If the chip is outside the driver’s line of sight, the windscreen may be repaired provided the work is warrantied and to a professional standard. BCA charge £39.00 for a repairable chip. However if the whole windscreen needs replacing, BCA will let you know the charge upon inspection as replacement of windscreen varies according the vehicle make and model.

Hey - I have to say my experience with dealing with the Audi part of VWFS has been pretty poor - the call handlers dont seem very experienced and give different answers when you call back and ask the same question.

In respect of the bit about the termination date starts from when the vehicle is collected - the lad I spoke to said this can be waived if BCA cant collect your car when it returns - I asked then about who was responsible for insurance and he said me - not sure that it is right but waiting to get confirmation from VW on my tiguan collection date as until I have that I cant pay my early return fee and until I have done that I cant seem to be able to speak to BCA who I am hoping I might get more sense from.

Which is where lease companies go beyond MOT requirements...and indeed beyond what most insurers will cover. Had this with a company lease - insurer wouldn't replace windscreen as chip too small, would only repair. Lease company then charged us for replacement windscreen after the car was returned. You could say the insurance was a con! It’s damaged, and they won’t replace it with policy you bought.

The lease conpany expects the car to be returned in a condition that does not devalue it from its predicted residual value.

Most buyers will expect a 2 year old car bought from a dealer forecourt to not have a crack in the line of sight of the windscreen. I hate chips or any defects that I can see in my field of vision. It would have to be replaced before the sale.

Agree. I think this is about the driver understanding that the car needs to be returned ready for auction. So could/should have researched windscreen cost in advance and replaced/repaired using insurance (or just cash).

Numbers not actually mentioned, but last time I replaced a windscreen it was £70 ish with Autoglass. So not sure if he's being melodramatic or not.

Are 35 month terms a big nono, I understand that it will incur another service and possibly tyres but wouldn’t be long enough for brakes or anything like that, little concerned that it is more time for wear and tear to happen?

When I was returning my Audi early, I told VWFS what date I want to end contract, they took payment based on it. Then sent my details to BCA and I called BCA to agree on collection date. Inspection was done at my house and I dropped off the car a few days later at the dealership where I was picking up new car. I had to ask dealership if it's ok with them and keep my insurance cover until car will be collected by BCA. So I dropped off the car on Saturday, dealer took it to locked compound and BCA collected it on Monday. All went smoothly and I only paid for excess miles up to date of inspection, I did 300 miles more after that.

Depends what the overall saving is vs 24 months...if any. I would prefer 36 so that we change less often...

4 years are a no because of no warranty and MOTs needed.

3 should be OK, won't stray into new disc territory and front pads are cheap enough if you need them. I think FWD you might manage without rear tyres on a two but not a three. No major issues though.

Not at all. Just depends on the cost.

Sometimes a particular offer may be on 36months only, so you have to weigh it all up.

My M6GC was over £300/m less on 36 months over 24 months and of course the initial is proportionally less £/m over 36m than 24m.

Are you liable for the MOT on a 36 months deal? Can you send it back a month early to avoid?

I assume it depends on the leasing company?

Hi everyone. First time posting and looking for some advice. Ive currently got a Golf R on lease which Ive had a rolling contract since it hit the 2yrs...but I want to replace before the warranty hits 3 year. Recently had a baby too so need something with occasional practicality! Also, need c.8k miles per year. Ideally I was going to get a Golf GTE, but that plans been scuppered by VW stopping taking orders!

My current shortlist (very varied!) is:
- Volvo XC60 R-design - (Havent seen any recent deals)
- A6 Avant Black Edition 1.8 (£275pm, total cost £9.1k over 24 months, so £379pm really - Carleasingonline)
- Golf R 5dr DSG (£290pm, total cost £9.3k, so £387pm - SelectCarLeasing)
- Golf GTI DSG (Most deals the same Ive seen are the a few quid less than the R, so might as well get an R!)

Are there any deals still on the XC60 that anyone could share? Has anyone seen better deals on the cars above?

There seems to be a bit of a glut of deals at the moment - is now a bad time?! I was reading about the dire state of the car market so thought there would be loads of deals!

National vehicle contracts currently have the Golf GTI 5dr DSG at total 2yr cost £8152 on 8k miles (£339 amortised) including metallic paint.. would’ve been perfect but no good to me as its late May/June delivery.

Anyone know of a similar deal but in stock?
