Can anybody tell me if there is a better deal out there? Not sure what to go for.
I
Audi A6 diesel saloon
2.0 TDI Ultra SE Executive 4dr
3 + 47
£299.00 add min
£299.99 a month for 20k

Or

Mercedes-Benz C Class Diesel Saloon
C220d SE
3 + 47
£299.00 add min
£289.26 a month for 20k
The consensus here seems to be that anything over 36 mths on a lease deal is a no no, with mot’s and extra servicing costs etc.
80k miles at the end too.
Thanks I will look again for other leases. Am new to car leasing so any advice is helpful

well to be honest decent 20k deals are i think fairly hard to find. Most of the support goes to the lower mileage users.

There's another I've seen on the net which beats it marginally by a few quid... that company and Select are the cheapest. I think if you go through What Car's site on PCH deals it should come up. I think it is that one. If I remember rightly I may have asked them about an A5 before going with Select and although cheaper on the deal and cheaper on fee (if it is this company) it was a one man band trading under company. Select advised me (rightly or wrongly - I'm a newbie to PCH) that some smaller outfits do the deal and a monthly down the line it is pulled despite having signed the paperwork.
Mrs has opted for a 4WD shape/style as first preference, and puts Honda as a preferred candidate. Colour me surprised, but there you go!

The support stays the same, it's the RV that takes a kicking

Not many details but might be worth getting in touch if you're interested.

Hi
When did you get this offer?

The reason I ask is I have been in contact with Seat this week. I have been informed that this deal is no longer available.

Yesterday I forwarded Seat the Whatcar link which shows a great lease deal and Seat confirmed they have now been in contact with Whatcar and the deal pulled.

Seat stated that the reason for pulling the offer was due to a 20 week build time and they were loosing money on the deal!!

This was all confirmed via e-mail with Seat.

I will contact Warrington Seat now smile

Cheers
Any luck with this? I hoping to still get this deal!
Phil Hodges at Warrington Seat says it’s still on, offer runs out at the end of the quarter (end of March) Whether it’s on after that, goes up in price or stays the same is unknown (as I guess it is at the end of every quarter).

So is it worth me just trying to get a 36 month lease? Just trying to keep my monthly cost around £300

Seat Cupra wise does anyone please know:-

1. Is the DSG available at the same price as the manual.

2. Are they're any Dealers providing these cars on PCH without admin fees?

Looking to possibly order one of these for the Wife.

Any help is much appreciated

Thanks good to know. I'm after a dsg and ideally a estate, but looking at the deals I may have to attempt for the hatch !

Have you driven one? I had one as a courtesy car a month or so ago and was completely uninspired by it. I felt like I was the captain of a cruise ship!

It actually changed my view on cars! I have bought a number of new cars without driving them before (BMW 330e, Volvo XC60...), and had my eye on the S/V90 for when my current lease ends. I would have been devastated had I pulled the trigger without driving it and then had it for 2/3 years. It wasn’t the AWD I had though to be fair.

I guess I’m in the minority when it comes to buying without trying though?!
Same here, not driven any of my last 4 leased cars. Was considering V90, but remembered trying a XC60 a few years back with the auto box. Just could not live with it. Was the gearbox the issue on your test?
It was just the dullest driving experience I’ve ever had. Engine was underpowered, handling was wallowing. I even had passengers who didn’t like it!

When do VW send letters out about collection of the car?

I picked mine up somewhere around the middle of June 2016 so it should be due back soon.

Collected our Volvo S60 following the cheap deals in Jan - so cheers to the OP for that. biggrin

The guy I was dealing with has said he has one in stock based on the same price from Jan.

Car is a Volvo S60 2.0 T4 SE Nav Manual - osmium grey (I believe that's metallic) with off black leather seats.

Price is £183 per month inc VAT on a 3+23 term with 8k pa. Docs need to be signed by end of this month with collection in the 1st or 2nd week of April. Dealership is Lookers Volvo Stockport. If I recall correctly, it worked out at about 16% of RRP for those who are interested. Excess mileage is about 7p/mile for the first 5k and then 10p for anything else above (again all from memory so not 100% sure).

Contact: davideaton@lookers.co.uk

Good luck.

Spec is decent enough considering price, leather seats, nav, climate control, auto lights/wipers, auto-fold mirrors etc.
How does it drive?
Well I've only driven it for a grand total of 5 miles and the weather wasn't too good at the time with a fair bit of snow. All I can is that it's a comfortable place to be, well-built car with no obvious flaws (apart from small boot) and it just glides over our pothole infested roads with ease. biggrin

I got mine July 2016 and got a letter in January saying 6 months left, time to look for a new car etc..

You can log online to VW Finance to get most the info or get an early termination figure.

I drove the new 5 series for 2 days (courtesy car) and then had the Volvo S90 for a 2 day test drive - so effectively I drove both cars back to back

It was just the dullest driving experience I’ve ever had. Engine was underpowered, handling was wallowing. I even had passengers who didn’t like it!
I drove the new 5 series for 2 days (courtesy car) and then had the Volvo S90 for a 2 day test drive - so effectively I drove both cars back to back. The Volvo is a good car IMO and right up there with the BMW 5 series. Would give the edge to BMW on the ZF gearbox, but I'm a big fan of ZF gearboxes anyway, and the 2L engines in both cars were very comparable - nothing in it really.

The Volvo took corners better than the BMW (which surprised me) The problem with the BMW was the limited feedback on steering going round sweeping bends and roundabouts. You felt like you couldn't feel where the grip was when the roads were damp/greasy. The Volvo on the other hand gave a more assured feeling of grip, and I felt I had a ton of grip to spare. That inspires confidence when you are behind the wheel and the car feels more planted as a result. Sure, it pitches a little (its a big and heavy car after all) but it still gives a nice drive.

Lesson for me was that its important to do your own test drives. Reviews always have BMW as a drivers car. Maybe it is better (on a nice dry day on a race track) but on damp, greasy roads where if you make a mistake you could wipe yourself or someone else out, its doesn't inspire confidence at all, resulting in an apprehensive driving experience. That was my experience of them anyway. For a 5 metre car, I think the Volvo was spot on.

O/T but it's v interesting that. There was a review of the new M5 on autoexpress yesterday and as one of the commenters said, it seemed a bit of a lukewarm review and yet 5/5 rated at the end. Maybe it is a bit of a cult that things have got a bit divergent from the original brief as it were but no-one yet has had the courage to stand up and say do you know what they're showing signs of losing their way a bit.

Hi,

Completely new around here but was just wondering if anybody could give me their opinion on this lease deal:

Scirocco 2.0 TSI 180 BlueMotion Tech R Line 3dr DSG:
3 +23
£313.22 PM inc VAT
939.66 Inital Rental
15000 Miles (Necessary due to my commute)
£300 admin fees

Was deciding between this deal and an a5 sportback but the prices seem to have gone up a lot today. I know there are much better deals for the GT version about which is an option but i have fallen in love with the R Line and they have been discontinued so this is the last chance if I want a new one!

Why would the price for the DSG ever be the same as a manual when it's an extra cost option? It's always going to add money on to the monthlies.

Think thats quite expensive, a couple of weeks ago the R was about that price, and I think that the 180 was about £230 on a 3+23 for 10k miles (dont wuote me on that though!)

The prices may have risen since though but you should be able to find better than that.

Not an R-Line, a GT instead but this is a fair bit cheaper. 3+23 for £241 on 12k miles with the same fees.
