£227.17 on a 3+35, 8k miles and £198 fee all inc vat. Not the cheapest, but cheaper than I could actually find the 124 for, within our budget and ticks all the boxes of what we (SWMBO) are looking for.

We need to have a look at new/nearly new prices though cause the rate they are losing value (£10k off list in 2 years with 10k miles) suggests there could be deals to be had, especially on nearly new.

But my heart really thinks a 595 or 124 will be so much more fun.
Who's that with?

I'm looking for a new lease, currently own an E91 320d M Sport touring but it's manual and my annual mileage has gone through the roof with commuting. It's 60 miles each way but thankfully an hour on average, so manageable.

Mileage allowance needs to be 36k and something big, auto, diesel and economical.

I'm using my car allowance so don't want to spank too much money. The best deal I have found so far is:

Skoda Superb Sportline DSG estate. Met grey or silver, otherwise standard.

2.4k down 35 x 405.

It's in budget, spec looks fine and it seems cheap, given the issue I have with mileage.

I'm struggling to better it in reality, unless anyone has any ideas
i am in a very similar situation to you - my commute went from 4 miles to 68 (Each way) so i bought an i3 range extender.

we pay £400 odd a month PCP, its a very easy car to drive and extremely nippy off the line.

the BIK will be a major advantage, as will the fact that i average 1.9 ppm means i can do 500 miles on £11 worth of electric.

we get roughly 100-140 miles on a charge and the range extender costs £8 to fill up with regular unleaded and it will extend the range by 65-100 miles.

I'd suggest that neither of them are good deals, i make them both to be 30%+ of RRP. Saying that, if it meets someones requirements for a stock car then go ahead!

From HUKD:

'BMW 218SE Active Tourer, 3 yr lease, 8000 miles £7403 Total cost, 3+35 payments of £194.93 Inc Vat. No Admin fee. @ What Car

£7,403 to lease a small (Golf SV size) family-friendly BMW for 3 years - that's Fiesta money to drive a Beemer! List price of £25k and you'd lose at least £10k if you bought it outright over the same period. Comes with a fair amount of kit as standard. It's a petrol 1.5 turbo direct from a main dealer in Liverpool - with National delivery included. Excess mileage is 6.49 ppm Inc vat.'

Yeah it's been up for a while, BMW had the 2 AT for around that price for the end of Q1 deals as it's being replaced with the 2 GT I think?

my guess is that there are still a few left over or some cancelled orders around

FFS.

Just contacted dealer to check on my Cupra 300 order. Placed order on 22nd January with "worst case scenario" lead time of 20-22 weeks - making that 25th June at worst. They checked my order today and it doesn't even have an expected build week yet. If you take the industry average of 13 weeks from build to delivery, it's already 4 weeks late...

Current car is due to go back on 7th June. Will be keeping an eye out for stock deals popping up now!

It seems like a lot of money, but then again at the mileage you're doing it's probably still not a bad option. If you go and buy a nearly new, you willd estroy the value of it anyway. If you buy 5-7 years old, you'll destory what value is left, but also could be forking out a huge amount as bits start needing replacing, so at least this way its hassle free and consistent. Is ther anyway to increase Warranty to 100k miles?
This is my issue. My 3 series is in the 5-7 category and in reality with the mileage i'm doing, a potential time bomb. My plan is to sell it whilst it's still worth something.

Buying something that age makes no sense as I would literally have to run it into the ground and have the potential risk of a big bill or two on the way. Plus cars 3/4 years old are of similar levels of tech to my current car, just a bit newer. if i'm changing, I want to change and get some benefit from it.

Looking at alternative ideas, buying may be an option as others have eluded to - but to keep payments about the same I need to be borrowing circa £17k over 4 years. My car allowance comes to +/- £450 net, so £400 is the ideal with £50 a month on servicing costs.

That puts me in cars around the £20/21k bracket if I did it over 4 years. It's a bit crystal ball but the car would need to be worth somewhere around £5k at the end for the numbers to stack up. Which might be a bit of an ask.

Well, I thought it was a good deal compared to every other dealer that has this car in stock, so I went for it, but...

After being told it is in stock in white I gave all my personal details for them to perform a credit check, this was on Saturday morning. Monday morning I got a call informing me that the car is now out of stock in white, but they have it with heated seats (£310 more) i thought fine still a good deal so they sold me one with heated seats, then I decided to do my research on the company and after reading reviews this seems to be a common tactic amongst SCL. Falsely advertising pricing and stock levels, then informing customer there's no stock and hard selling a more expensive variant.

...I pulled out whilst I was still undergoing a credit check.

So I'm now looking for a similar style of car in a similar price range. If you know of any do let me know.

Nope, switched over to our vans team. Currently "enjoying" starting from scratch and spending lots of time prospecting.

Yay.

It'll be worth it in the end though smile

Just had a quote to extend my 1.4 a4 avant for another 6 month @ £390 p/m and another quote for 12 month @ £593 p/m. Looks like they want their car back.
Has anyone else had any better look extending their a4 lease.

Bomb I’ve been dropped with today is that all these S4s have to be registered before the end of August apparently despite being told originally end of sept delivery was fine. Might not bother most but will all be 18 plate and so will have an old plate shortly after delivery.

Also my spec is locked and I wanted to change colour.

Considering pulling out tbh.

Interesting. Who did you order with?

I was guaranteed mine would have the brand new plate on it. They wouldn’t register it until September.

I’m not that bothered about what plates on it personally but would be annoying.

What colour have you chosen? I think you can change colour as long as it doesn’t add or take any cost away as finance is sealed for the deal.

If they mess me about I’m very tempted to just buy a 2015 m3 and pull out of the s4 deal - or even buy a used s4 around September for 30k as I’ll probably lose less than 10k in 2 years or thereabouts and I can keep it longer if I love it.
