Finding my old car, where to start?
Discussion
Never give up hope!
I have been looking for my Late Dad's 67 Oro Gold Maserati Ghibli 4.7 since before 1985. He died far too young in Sept 75 and in 76, the car went back to the States.
Well, about a month ago, very late one Sunday eve, I was scrolling down through the Ghiblis currently for sale and OMG there it was!!!
I spent the Monday in a total daze, deeply upsetting memories were mentally torturing me, but I'm just so thrilled that it has survived.

Hi all.
Im wanting to track down my old girlfriend.
I didnt want her at the at time so let her go, but for some stupid reason I think I can turn back the clock and get her back as the one I upgraded to is clearly not a patch on the old one.
Rather than just get any new girlfriend thats similar to the old one I instead want that specific old girlfriend back who probably already has a happy life somewhere else.

Looking for my folks old VW T25- H721 ODC tried various Facebook forums. It was sorned but checked again and it’s been taxed and MOTd. So it’s still on the road. Any tips for finding it? Cheers
It was sold on Just Kampers in 2013, still with that owner. Apologies if I'm treading a fine line with the rules here but it is in response to people asking the question and unlikely to give me any tangible physical gain other than a small increase in self-esteem and it's a labour of love more than anything. During the lockdown period and having being furloughed for... I think three months when it hit me, I had an idea to provide a platform to aid with this very thing. I charged up an old phone and found pics of my old Cooper S on there (VX54UCB) if anyone knows it. I think it died as of 18 months ago, but I'd like to find out what happened to it before then.
Here it is anyway. www.whodoyouthinkyoucar.com (I know, even the name is annoying - I even had other options in my head, but kept coming back to this).
It's completely free, not for profit (unless it has so much traffic that I can pay my hosting costs for the year, but I doubt it), and is possibly the only idea I've ever had. It's probably going to die, and I should warn you it looks rubbish (I've never had a domain before even though I sort of tangentially work in IT and really should have used my time better to acquire some knowledge over the years).
It know it's a dot com, but it is literally me in my kitchen using work's laptop having tipped a few quid for a domain name and a clunky Wordpress platform.
I had a 2006 BMW 330d saloon when it was about 18 months old and I only had it for a few months (traded down to the aforementioned Cooper S as I unexpectedly bought a house and needed to free up some cash, and the 330d was a stop gap to see if I could cope with the relative poverty from my 535d before it - looking back I led something of a charmed automotive life back then). However I subsequenrly saw that someone had really gone to town on it, replacing the front end with the grille, bonnet and headlights from a Coupe, put the front wings from an M3 with the gills in them, put quad pipes one back and replaced all the aluminium inserts with a carbon fibre sort of effect, and some mock M3 Competition wheels.
Even though every fibre of my being says that I should hate it, it was executed quite well. Who knows what it must have cost on a car that had declined in value quite a lot by then, and when you started it up it would still sound like a E90 330d. But hell's bells... it was like when Renee Zellweger re-emerged.
But if you want to upload something and maybe someone bites it might help you, and it would definitely help me! I'll be uploading the rest of my cars this week when I get a charger for a 13 year old Sony phone in the post this week (fingers crossed!).
Cheers for any help and I hope it can help you and do as I intended it too, but it's not going to do it without a visit or two. There's nothing snide with it whatsoever and no ulterior motive.

The scale of the forum on your website is absolutely tiny, you might want to have a play around with thatHere it is anyway. www.whodoyouthinkyoucar.com (I know, even the name is annoying - I even had other options in my head, but kept coming back to this).
