They seem to eat gearbox bearings a lot and not just a bit I've since found out. Pretty poor for a sub-100k mile car.

Spacious and reasonably reliable, but not nice to drive.

I would get the Speedo checked. From seeing them on the road they must over read by at least 50%

How much do you think one should cost?

It's in the middle of the £500-1000 range I'd peg one at depending on spec and condition.

I wouldn't pay that much for one. Regardless of what dealers are asking.

I sold a 04 Jazz last year for 350. If you are patient you'll find one privately that you can haggle on.

Dealers of cars that are 16yrs old will offer no comeback

I found another honda jazz for £750 it is a 2005 80k mileage it had its mot done couple days ago and it failed but passed without advisory second time and also does honda jazz 1.3 have a timing belt or timing chain? And if it is the timing chain do they have to get replaced aswell?

Chain IIRC.

On what did it fail the 1st MOT?

One other thing to be aware - handbrake isn't brilliant. Rear brake discs can corrode as they are used so lightly by most.
