Need to replace the PCH on a Seat Leon that goes back in a few months. Fancy a Cupra this time, and also thinking of a three year deal, as two years seems to come by too quickly! But not 100% on that yet.

Seen this...

3*35
£782 initial
£261 monthly

I think this is ok...but not brilliant? Any thiughts? Or anyone seen any good offers?
who is that with ?

I've been put off small engines by the 1.2 in my Qashqai. It's OK once you're moving but pulling out at junctions etc can be stressful as it's so gutless. If you don't balance the revs and clutch just right it bogs down and leaves you stranded in the middle of the road.
I had the same problem with my Alltrack which was a DSG 2.0TDi with 190bhp - I think it is dithering electronics thanks to emissions requirements that introduce a delay into everything.

Totally agree about the 1.2 engine in Qashqai (manual), pulling out junctions could be terrible. Never had that kind of problem in the 2.0d VAG though.

In leasing related news, I thought I'd bagged a new business E220d estate @ £229(+VAT plus 2k) but appears they have all gone so missed out.

It seems to b ea common trait in a lot of cars
You slow down for a junction and it goes into ECO mode, you spot the gap to pull out into, stamp the right peddle and it goes
'cough splutter - you cant be serious' as it rolls out into the path of...

It must be a mapping thing in the 6 speed DSG the Alltrack had - many people on here who got one mentioned it. The 7 speed in Tiguan is absolutely fine.

Worth noting for those looking at 1.0TSi petrol in DSG - might be worth getting a test drive first.

It's the traction control. Turn that and stop start off and you'll be fine.

What’s the annual mileage and deposit on this?

Looking at the deals on their website, it looks like 10k miles p.a. Cost profile £500.00 + 9 + 23, so £3804 down. £12,248 over 2 years. Works out at 26% of list price. So OK deal but not spectacular. Might be more interesting if the email is referring to a special deal that isn't on the site.

5k per annum is only 417 miles per month on average.

I'm not sure how spending £300 a month for that little mileage (plus fuel and the extra £3k up front) is VFM. It's surely over £1 per mile. What's the advantage?

£2k a year for a little runabout doesn't sound bad. It's not as if its a budget car, the MINI is quite nice.
