Happy to stand corrected but having sat in all three the A6 and A7 seem identical, whereas the A8 has plenty of differences.

Edit: Apparently, all three use the same chassis system and share some tech.

Anyone looking for a decent priced 4x4

The 2 year deal works out to be £30 a month more,
ALSO
I think someone was asking about 4x4 AWD cars, I managed to find this
https://www.fleetprices.co.uk/personal-lease-cars/...
That cx-5 isn't 4x4
You sure??? It's bigger than the cx-3 similar size to x1 and Q3

Not sat in the A8 but the A6 with tech pack and A7 are identical inside from what I could see.

The A7 55 at Fleetprices works out at 14.5k over the term, 23%, so erm... it's FTQable

Wikipedia says same:

The A7 is in essence, a four door fastback version of the C7-series Audi A6, based on the Volkswagen Group MLB platform. The A7 was released before the more conventional A6 saloon/estate.[6] Both cars share the same core structure, drivetrain, chassis, dashboard and interior, whilst the A7 has its own unique exterior panelwork. It also differs from the A6 in that it uses aluminium for much of its front body structure.

Personally, I'd want that a little closer to 20%.

If it was 22.5% I’d be in

Sorry, that's completely wrong.... I've read that Wiki entry & it relates to the A7 4G8 version (i.e. the one they stopped producing in 2017).
Read to the bottom of the page & there's a short entry on the new 4G9 version.

The lease deals are getting much more expensive now. The cars that were £250 are now £350. Not many deals around. May reconsider leasing when current car goes back next year. Maybe its Brexit and unhappy EU car manufacturers passing the cost down..I know groceries have shot up in price already.

If you look at the value of the pound I think you'll probably find your answer to both the car and grocery prices.

That's one of the reasons I've gone for a 3 year lease (car comes tomorrow) this time - in three years things will either have picked up or be totally down the pan and the economy basically collapsed. I'll take a view on it then, however I suspect this is my last ever lease.

Anyone with a VWFS lease received a dealer contribution towards the deposit and how did it work for you?

My Leon (2 years ago) they sent me a cheque following delivery of the car, so that was cashed and then the deposit come out around 2 weeks later.

The Audi I've ordered, they (broker, not VWFS) are saying I need to pay the deposit to Audi before the car is delivered due to the dealers contribution.

Wouldn't normally be an issue, except it now being the week before xmas and didn't budget for it until Jan wobble

In an S4 until end of October, but if I was coming into a fresh lease I'd be sorely tempted by this. £4K more for 2 years than the S4, but having had one of these as a courtesy car I was pretty impressed. If you're looking for a big luxury barge that can pick up its skirt and have a good sprint when you want it to then it fits the bill nicely

We're about to get an Octavia 1.5 on lease and the Skoda dealer says they'll pay the contribution (£500) into our account the day it delivers. Then sometime in Jan they'll take the full amount (£2500) plus the contribution from our account. So, merry Christmas and happy hangover.

October 2014 my first Golf R lease was 1x £2148 followed by 23x £179. According to google the exchange rate then was roughly 1.25€ to £1. As I'm typing this the exchange rate is 1.12€ to £1 and the same car costs roughly 1x £3000 followed by at least 23x £360.

I'm not good at maths but doesn't look quite right to me.

Which would be ideal for me, I'll give the Audi dealer a buzz to see if they can do the same.

For this case, it looks like £ value is reduced now by ~ 10%, but the lease deal has gone worse (increased cost) by ~ 80% !!

In terms of the RRP to lease cost ratio the exchange rate shouldn't make a lot of difference. Yeah comparing with a Golf R 4 years ago is dearer to lease or buy nowadays, but the 25% and under deals seem scarce now.

I was (still am) flirting with the A35, with premium package and 14kpa it's around 29 percent. My S5 on those miles is 26 percent. The premium package doesn't add a lot to the lease BTW.

The best I have found. I have been quoted approx £433 on 3+23 14k with premium. Interestingly Vehicle Savers reckon the deals are only on bog and executive which doesn't seem to be the case with Applied's prices.
