To answer a few questions, they told me you have to be a Santander customer.
You can open a basic account up online in about 10mins. I know people on here who have ordered cars through them without having any other kind of product from them, I think it depends on who you deal with.
As to delivery they are saying early April.

VW dealers are really in the mire at the moment. Had a long chat with one at the weekend and they can’t even get cars for cash buyers never mind offer any good deals. He had a guy walk in the same day after a Golf GTI and he didn’t even have one to show him - the guy ended up walking away. The showroom is stuffed full of bog standard cars with nothing of interest if you’re after performance. He told me not to even mention the Polo GTI - just rolled his eyes. My GTD is going back in June and I was there to suss out the market from their point of view - didn’t leave feeling encouraged!
Even the middle of the road stuff is suffering....my Mam ordered a Polo R-Line 1.0 3 pot in the lease favourite flat Urano Grey as her new company car at the end of April last year (expecting it in October gone). Up to now it's coming in 3 weeks but it's not guaranteed as the lease company reckon the car hasn't even been built yet. Her work won't let her swap the order to something else and have told her just to hold onto the A1 she has currently until it comes, shes happy with this as she loves the A1. I think she's at the point now where she's not even looking forward to it arriving anymore.

If anyone wants one of the Volvo V90 CC T5 try contacting Santander. They have quoted me £270 on a 1+17 @8k. If I do the man maths to convert it to 24months 10k it works out about 17%.
Best deal of the year so far???
I know you’ve got evidence, but this seems far too cheap vs the other CC T5 deals, and anything else that’s showing on the Santander 1-2-3 website.

Is it a +VAT quote?

Some people on uk-polos.net have been waiting 1 year for a Polo GTI now. It really seems that the WLTP has caused chaos.
I was thinking of going for one of the Arteon deals but looking at some of the comments about the 2.0 and even the 1.5 petrol engine it could be absolutely ages waiting for a car to arrive frown

I emailed them last week for a 2yr 10k per mile deal quote. They replied very promptly but the cost worked out at well over £400 a month. I deleted the email immediately as it was a non starter for me. Shame as I like the thought of the CC

They confirmed I needed to be a customer to get the deal

I ordered an arteon the next day.

Sounds like VW the King of cheaters are really struggling to meet the WLTP regulations. Kinda brought it all on themselves.

I reckon once we hit a messy Brexit with the economy gone tits up and of manufactures have sorted their WLTP issues them they will be fighting for sale sales and need to offer good deals. Also the Golf will be hitting MK 8 release so their maybe be some blow out deals on MK 7.5 models.

Just sorted a Merc GLA180 urban edition auto at £213.33 inc VAT per month on a 3+35 profile including maintenance without tyres. Deal was direct from a dealer in Scotland (no admin fees) with free metallic paint and free trailer delivery in May. Weirdly all their deals have to include maintenance but you can remove the tyres part of the maintenance. I dealt with Colin who was great and his email is colin.hood@arnoldclark.com if you want the deal

Will this lead to a rash of lease deals saving a few quid by not having tyres?

Decent price! Was that for 10k miles per annum?

Where did you hear about the deal?

Edit: just googled and found this. Much dearer and it’s the manual version...

You’ve either got a bargain or the quote is wrong.

8k miles per annum. Originally found the deal through Whatcar leasing. The price actually dropped by £43 per month from initial quote or order due to an increase in the resale value. Top class service from Colin to pass the saving on to us when we agreed to go ahead at the higher price!

I hope you're right - I've all but given up hope & am now toying with getting a Tesla Model S on PCP.
I looked at this but cost wise it was a non-starter.
You can't even get the 75kWh battery any more, so the cheapest Model-S is 89 grand now! Even if you take fuel and tax savings into account, it's very, very expensive.
Yeah, although they still gave some 75s in the system.
I was just quoted for an ex-demo and the total package wasn't as eye-watering as I feared. The car's sold anyway so I've missed out but hoping another might come up.
Their PCP APR is only 2.9%, which sweetens the deal compared to the 11/12% the Germans are charging

I keep seeing this Arteon offer which looks ok but I’ve not run any calcs on it percentage wise!

https://forms.hotcarleasing.co.uk/LeaseDetails.asp...

I hear that the Uk isn’t using up (quickly enough) it’s Arteon allocation / build spaces hence why there’s a few deals surfacing on it. I like it and would lease one however its in a tricky position in the uk market place. Purely my option but I see it as a bit of a Saab replacement in a weird sort of a way it fills a gap for people looking for something a bit different with a good spec, a bit sporty, that don’t want to be too flashy!

I read a financial article at the weekend that a large number of manufacturers haven’t adjusted their non SUV / 4x4 vehicle production quickly enough or indeed at all to balance additional SUV models being added to ranges. The result is essentially an over production of saloons and estates, this may turn into a bit of a s**t storm over the coming years!

Yes, caught them in my kitchen at 2am. They legged it with the keys and sped off.
VWFS won't allow you to transfer a lease to an individual. It'll need to go to a business. I managed to find someone to take over the liability of my stolen Golf R after about 6 months of looking. Definitely get rid. They'll be back... at least shopping in your area if nothing else.

Messer glad you’re ok that could have ended badly!

Try goggling “swap my lease” a few sites have been mentioned on here before but not sure how good they are some appear fairly inactive!

Good luck sounds like a pita!
