that has caught my eye at a snip under 3 grand. Its a 2006 so a facelifted W203, should have many of the earlier versions troubles ironed out?
Just after something comfortable and easy to drive for the 30 mile slog to work. At this price I can forgive some slightly naff economy so long as it'll do low 30's.

Panel gaps round those headlights would swallow children!
They're like that - although the bumper to wing looks iffy.Think those engines have chain / sprocket wear issues but I'm not sure on the details - have a bit of a Google. I have the same series of car but mine is a C270CDi.
How about MK6 VW Golf SE/GTs with the 1.4TSI engine?
(think these are 140 or 160 PS depending on trim, I ain't bothered so long as it goes, has CC and is comfy).
I realise these aren't particularly well thought of engines with all the timing chain issues, but I'm playing the game here that if its done 60-70,000 miles already, its either OK or has been fixed previously.
