Oh god!

Caught red handed!!! We’ve got a monthly insurance payer here!!!

BUYS ALL HIS CARS CASH BUT HASNT GOT ENOUGH LEFT IN THE BANK TO INSURE IT UP FRONT!!!

Do you know how pathetic that sounds?

That’s what you sound like when you and your other cronies claim that all who PCP have no cash. smile
It was a very simple question but obviously not simple enough for you. silly

1) Where did I say I buy all my cars cash?

2) Wher have people said that ALL PCP'ers have no money?

3) Do you actually believe that EVERY PCP'er has the full purchace price in the bank?

4) Could you answer the original question without all the hyperbole/lies?

I can’t be bothered with your other questions because we’ll go round in circles.

But I’ll answer the PCP’ing isn’t spreading the cost question...

...Of course it is. With an optional balloon at the end.

Jesus Christ.

Let people buy cars how they want stop being so bothered.
Of course your not interested because your a liar and you have been caught out.
Where have I lied? I have explained all those answers in great detail on the 33 pager and as another poster mentioned you’re clearly just trying to antagonise the PCP’ers.

Have a day off.

Seriously though I see a lot of PCP talk on here and some folk seem to think they have the moral high ground by either running sheds, using a bank loan or buying for cash as opposed to PCP.

I find the fascination with how other people fund their cars utterly bizarre if i'm honest.
Couldn't give two hoots about who earns more at the end of the month. But I am kinda interested to hear whether people see car finance as a financial vehicle to fund cars that would otherwise not be possible with cash or a useful tool to keep cash in bank.

This also applies across all different kinds of wealth and statuses from the 18YO earning 20K financing their first hot hatch, a 60YO on 300K financing their new Ferrari or even a 30YO with 5 million in cash and assets financing a Huracan Perfomante.
The uneducated masses would not be able to afford all these just off the production line £60k cars though if buying from scratch so the car industry had to come up with something to facilitate the purchase of new cars. P/Heads is not a great place to ask imho as 99% of posters are Well Built Company Directors awash with £millions.

TX.

How can it be a lie if I never knew the truth?

For someone to lie, they must know what they’re saying is not true.

I did not.

Besides, it was clearly a flippant joke.

If you don’t pay all your cars cash then you shouldn’t be so opposed to PCP.

Claiming ignorance just makes you look a bigger moron to be honest.
Not sure you know what being ignorant means. You seem a little simple.

I’ll tell you who is ignorant though.

You.

Despite the pros of PCP you seem to just claim it’s terribly awful and a cancer to the world.

No doubt you will now reply “when did I say it was a cancer to the world.”

  • Shake my head*

You imply it and that’s enough.

Relax, more and more people are PCP’ing and there’s nothing you can do to stop them.

Muahahahahahaha!

In fairness to TSWB I don’t recall him saying such things.

He just seems to enjoy stirring the pot and doesn’t much like answering questions put to him on the subject but instead lobs the odd grenade about and then steps back.

Who gives a st, i always laugh at these same threads on here where its made out that anyone who buys on finance is a pleb.

Well, maybe if you are an actual pleb but for some people we are actually happy to pay x per month for usage of a car which is beyond what they can afford or even be happy to pay outright.

Some pcp deals are incredibly painful and im amazed anyone would take them up, but if you have some brain you can work that out and find one which is acceptable.

If manufactuers had to rely on people buying outright they would have gone bust years ago!

And - ironically - the price of used cars would be sky high.

I'd still like a pic of the Mk1 Golf GTI though, as suggested. Brilliant cars.

I wouldnt hold your breath mind you. Sticking a line on a profile is quite different from actually owning one.

And he seems to have been far too busy being angry on the internet to have time to post pics of the alleged car.

And that's the problem with sweeping statements and generalisations like "PCP doesn't look attractive to me (...).". PCP can look very ugly indeed in some cases and very attractive in others, like yours. Once again, it depends. The only thing I am quite sure of is that absolute statements about a method or another are absurd. Although that sounds like an absolute statement too.

Can we get back on track. The topic was "how do you use PCP". I was quite enjoying the anecdotes.

Well i will explain my recent but first use of pcp. I am not usually into car finance as once your in your in and theres no easy way out.

However, what started as buying a car for 10-15k outright ended up with not being satisfied at what was on offer for various reasons. It creeps up and gets to a point where you cant afford to buy it outright, in this case i could of bought it outright but i didn't want to spend all of the money i had when i know things can happen in life, for example the day we got the car our boiler went hehe

I looked around, worked out the deals which were being offered and negotiated a deal we were happy with. Part of what i like is the gfv is very strong, its not a risk i would like to take IF i was to buy outright, for now someone else has that risk. When i factor in the car had some discount because it had sat for a while and nearly 3 years warranty that helps to offset the interest.

I am well aware its a waste of money, but so is beer, nice food, cocaine, strippers, holidays and infact almost anything which isn't some sort of investment which lots of people seem to piss up the wall everyday. Somewhere in life you have to accept that nice stuff costs money. Coupled with the fact the mrs pays towards it we have a very nice car on the drive for a cost we are happy with.

All that said though i would be very very unlikely to buy a fun car on pcp or finance.

This seems like a sound and rational thought process, including considering all options without making assumptions.
