Any advantage in leasing through a dealer rather than an online company?
Dealers usually won’t charge the admin fee you typically pay brokers and if it’s a factory order are more likely to have more accurate info during the build phase on delivery dates etc.

Exactly the same situation here. I’ve been told it will be mid-november for my delivery but that’s still 6 weeks after my current car goes back.

I’m now going to need to order something in stock. Not many good deals for desirable/nippy in stock cars at the moment. Absolutely gutted.
Ended up with a stock CLA200 Premium that was in stock being delivered on Sep 1st on a 69. Not an earth shattering deal, worked out at 25% on 12k over three years.

She initially wanted the A Class over the other cars she test drove but fell for the CLA in the end.

Who was this with? I’d probably accept a CLA200 but I need the prem plus haha

Leasing Gorilla. There were only a handful of cars left a couple of weeks ago, there weren’t any Premium Plus cars only Premium (I asked).

I had to cancel my A250 order for the wife with Arnold Clark as delivery went to estimated end of December (with no guarantee) and her current lease goes back this Friday. Loads of moaning on the A Class forum of factory delays. I did consider extending our current lease and waiting but the warranty ends on it in a couple of weeks and it has been an absolute pile of ste.

Gutted really as I was looking forward to something with a bit of poke (my daily driver is an Amarok before anyone says an A250 is slow) and Nicky was ace to deal with.
When did you order?

I've ordered with Nicky as well but not much movement so far on my A Class.

Would anybody be able to share details of the A250 deal please? I'm interested in what terms you all got when this was active.

I got mine after the summer deals people got, so not as good as the others on here.

Mercedes A Class A250 Premium:
- Metallic Paint (Mountain Gray)
- Smartphone Package
- Aluminium Trim
- Maintenance excluding tyres.

£322 a month with £966 deposit on a 3 year lease.

Got mine through Arnold Clark account manager whose details where posted quite a few pages ago, was really easy to deal with.

In case you're interested it's on page 162 of this thread.

Then use this info (taken from the PistonHeads lease sticky with lots of other info you should read)-

If your percentage is
under 20% = either an Awesome Deal, or a surprisingly common 'mistake' by the dealer
20% to 25% = Pretty Good Deal, and where you're most likely to end up if you follow Lease Deals Rule 3
25% to 30% = OKish Deal
over 30% = Poor Deal.
I think there is more than one way to look at leasing other than as a % of list price. Indeed I occasionally question the value of this approach when some manufacturer’s cars are routinely more heavily discounted from list than others (i.e.: If a FORD is easily available with a 20% discount off list whereas a BMW would only get <10% then comparing the quality of the deal as a % of list price in not really valid).

I first thought about leasing when I was on the point of replacing a Vectra Estate with an MPV and received an offer for a Zafira that equated to £200 per month. I’d had the Vectra since new and it was 7 years old. So I looked back at all the bills over the 7 years and the car had cost me almost exactly £200 per month, when comparing like for like costs.

Although in the end we did not go for the deal it put in my mind that the prospect of a contract hire deal of around £200 - £250 per month that would give me a new car every 2-3 years was a more attractive proposition than buying new and keeping for a long period.

Since that time the cars that I have bought, (all second hand) have cost me in the region of £2,000 - £3,000 per year in depreciation, plus the associated servicing, repairs, aftermarket warranty, tyres, tax. Although it must be said that my mileage over these years has been in the region of 20,000 mile per year.

So when I look at deals I am still in the mode that if I could get something that cost me around £200 - £250 per month and it is a car I would be very happy to use for 2 years, then I consider that a good deal. It doesn’t really matter to me if it is 18% or 25% of list price, what matter is that it only costs £200 - £250 and is a car I would be happy with. I’m not saying this benchmark is wrong, I’m just espousing a different way of looking at the VALUE a particular PCH deal represents.

Contenders that have come close to my parameters have included:
  • VW Polo GTI
  • Golf GTI or R (past deals)
  • Cupra 290
So far, I have not gone for anything because my annual mileage has been too high, but now my circumstances have changed and so I’ll probably be doing <10k p.a.

I’m looking for a deal, like that described above, on something like a Skoda Karoq, Seat Ateca or T-Roc that would fall into this price bracket. However, I don’t want one with a piddly engine (150bhp minimum please) and it needs to have some of the more desirable options typically associated with the R-Line, Edition or Lux specifications (ACC, reversing camera, heated seats, etc). We are not quite there yet, but some deals are getting pretty close.

Do the percentages still hold true for electric cars? They all seem to have significantly higher percentages than ICE, but I guess that’s in part due to “fuel” savings.

It’s 12 quid a month less than my current 18 month r design deal but the plus spec probably isn’t that far off. I think it’s a good deal. Does it nor include metallic?

No, metallic paint takes it up to £314 pm. I did forget to add the £270 arrangement fee.

Motorlet had the e class cheaper than this in a recent special offer that someone posted, if it was a real deal at least?!

Not true the finance is thru Creation, I can see the hard credit check on my file. Paul has doner everything he promised and I had all the final forms sent over on Thursday like he said. At the bottom it says "Pink vehicle leasing is a trading style of TM Ltd, Southpoint House, Meridian Business Park, Leicester, LE191WP" my car is due end of September. Despite taking longer than expected and a thorough credit check and bank statements, I have no doubt that this will happen.
Can someone please confirm that I was not the only person to end up with this deal on the Velar HSE from Pink Car Leasing?

The ideal is indeed to compare to the discounted price - btw, 20% discount is achievable on most BMWs.
