Okay, first time poster but long time lurker so here goes. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a specialist site for a 12 month lease. Looking for something like a Mazda 2 or Peugeot 208 as a stopgap for a year but the main dealers will only lease to business and the various lease sites I’ve tried when it comes down to it cannot do anything. Plenty of i10’s, C3’s and Renault Captors but that is all I can find. Many thanks in advance
well leasing.com cheapest deal over 12 months is a citreon, just filter the price to lowest total lease cost and it should come up, around 9+12 100 pounds per month and 2.2k in total

Good evening, been looking at what appears to be a great deal on a Seat Leon FR Sport 1.5 TFSI - 15k miles. 24 months, 6 months down and £220 per month.
I can’t seem to see anything cheaper, anyone think this is a decent deal?
Thanks in advance

Very strange goings on with WLTP at the moment. I managed to get one of the Mini Countryman PHEV deals towards the end of last month with Central. Apparently the cars are in the country but there's a price mismatch and now we're waiting on Alphabet to honour the price before finance docs can be issued and a delivery date agreed.

Central had about 20 orders on this deal but I'm not confident it'll be honoured. Oh well frown
Any news on this? I’d ordered one for the missus and she’s all excited for it! Not to mention spending £75 advertising her current car.

When was this? Seems a very good deal!
I ordered end of Feb, delivered last week. They said the deal was clsoing at the time but I guess they would! May be worth trying.

Just to be clear are you saying that it’s simply contractual that you aren’t to use these services or you’ve somehow been physically restricted?

If the former, I wouldn’t give it a moments thought. Not a hope in hell the finance company will actually know/care whether you use these services... if they’ve just not activated them, could you ask a dealer to do so?
I'm still getting my head round what works and what doesn't. The Nav is fine because that's self contained although I can't send routes from the unusable App to the Nav which isn't a big deal.

The restriction is because if you download the App and try to connect to the vehicle / services, you need to enter the VIN and a PIN from Volvo which is where it all started, VIN is fine, PIN is not. The system needs activating by Volvo and this is where my conversation with the dealer started. The Lease company have say over whether the services are activated or not.

It may be worth trying my local dealer but then I would be breaking the contract terms. It's whether they are advised of that by a dealer as to how big a risk that might be in terms of remedial charges. This has to be an issue on a number of fronts, not least getting what you think you paid for and the number of vehicles that rely or make use of integrated connectivity.

I've seen a discussion about this and IIRC leasing companies (LEX were mentioned) were saying they didn't like it as the system directed people to franchise dealers for maintenance work.

The thread ended with LEX saying it was OK and a guy in a Volvo dealer offering to get it enabled it for people who were stuck.

Funnily enough I was reading just that thread last night as I have a V90 coming.

We had huge problems with this when I was selling MB cars, I was on the understanding that pretty much all of the leasing companies had approved connected services? Lex were the last one to allow cars to be connected. You might need approval from the leasing company as they own the vehicles, it might be worth speaking to your leasing companies customer services for those that are struggling still.

I recently encountered the same issue with Audi. Previously, I had car authenticated to Audi MMI app, but after they changed it MyAudi App, it says I have to contact dealer to verify that I'm owner and only then can add car to the new app. I don't think there's a restriction from leasing company but I find it annoying that I lost functionality, which I had before. I never bothered to write down the pin, which I could see in previous app, as I didn't expect such issues in future.

Way too much for me, but trawling leasing.com shows these are coming up around the same % as Volvo V90s..

Now I've ordered my husbands BMW, I was looking for myself. I've decided to go for the Mercedes deal with Arnold Clarke. After speaking to Colin he is really pushing me to go with the maintenance as follows :-

Mercedes A Class A180 AMG Line Executive 5dr Hatch
3+35
6k per year
without maintenance £208.39p.m.
with maintenance £242.54p.m.

With such a low mileage do I really need the maintenance, how often would I need to have it serviced ? yes, im aware of the other extras it includes but based on the fact I currently have a Kia Sportage on a maintained contract, had 2 x services and thats it nothing else. Is the extra £1200 worth it ?

Unless you really unlucky and maintenance includes tyres, I wouldn't bother with it. With 6K miles per annum you will probably survive on original tyres and will need 2-3 services which will be cheaper than cost of maintenance at £1,195.25.

Colin always pushes for the maintenance so assuming that's where they make most of their money. He did the same with the GLA deal, in fact with that deal he said it was only available with maintenance and wouldn't offer it without.

As others have said, its not worth it.

My breakdown for the A250.

Shows maintenance higher than the OP quoted but monthly figure the same.

Will double check the figures but for £10600ish over 3 years all in doesn't seam that bad.

Weve never had a Merc before, how often would it need servicing & I am lead to believe on a lease it has to be through a Merc dealership, do you know if this is correct ?

With 6K annual mileage you will have to service it every year, so 2 services if you delay your services a bit to make 3rd service after you return the car, or 3 services. I would assume it will cost: 200, 400, 200. Someone mentioned 270 for first service, Scroll a few pages back. I never paid more for 1st and 3rd service than £200, for higher Mercedes models, you can haggle with the dealer. However I'm near London and have at least 5 dealerships in the area.

JESUS, Surely the deal of the year.

Just got quoted from Perth Mercedes

Mercedes A class A250 AMG LINE PREMIUM PACK inc maintenance ( no tyres though ) Solid paint ( Metallic was £14 pm extra )

3 + 35, 8k PA at £277.91 pm inc VAT. This includes delivery to your door.

Knowing how much the premium pack costs and what it has plus how expensive servicing is I've FTK out of this !

Lesser A class models are available for less from them.

Also special note for Russel and Shona who were honestly the most refreshing lease sales people I have ever dealt with.

Please lets keep this off HUKD's for at least a week so other piston heads leasers have a chance.
Not a chance, HUKD have it now;
