has anyone bought from 'big motoring world'?
Discussion

There was a massively long thread about them on the e90post.com forum. I'm not sure if it is still there as it was NOT at all complementary.
They have a terrible reputation.

Yes you do.. and no they don't haggle.. but they sell literally 200+ cars a week... ! Why? PRICE...!https://www.bigmotoringworld.co.uk/?&utm_sourc...
I don't think they are any worse than any other large turn-over cars sales place.
They are always very competitive for prices but it comes down to the individual car, can buy a great/ste car from anywhere.
Mates dad has had a few motors from there; no issues with 2 of them and an engine blow up on X5 40d.

I went there once with a friend who wanted a car. From what I saw I wouldn't buy from them. You can't just go in and look yourself, you have to register and get escorted around. The salesman used ridiculous high pressure selling tactics that infuriated me. Thankfully for him it wasn't me buying!
They must however be doing something right though because they do sell a hell of a lot of cars. They recently had a new additional showroom/site built near me which has a massive stock.

Actually my mate who bought a CLS from them haggled on the price and admin fee to his advantage, so it is not a blanket "no"
Cool. The irony is that I rang to put a deposit on a car, right spec/car etc, however they said they operate a 'first come - first served and I have to have driven the car first'. I said I was willing to pay the asking, I can't get there for a few days, in between now and then they've lowered the price by £700.

Love the fact they have a £3.7m Bugatti Chiron up, but still with the £199 admin fee.
Perhaps a buyer would feel quite pleased with themselves if they negotiated that away.
I found it weirder that their second most expensive car is £40k.Perhaps a buyer would feel quite pleased with themselves if they negotiated that away.
Bought my 5 series from them nearly four years ago. Would advise you know what you are looking for and what to check on the car. Most are ex lease cars and you can find lots in the paperwork including previous "owner" etc. I made appointment to view, picked car, tried haggling but no luck. I've been in sales and told the agent. We skipped the hard sell for all the expensive extras but he was required to try.
It's a car supermarket you get cheaper but don't get the level of support you might get from a main dealer. I'd buy from them again.

They used to have a reputation not far of the garage in Yorkshire.
Coincidentally I happened to spot a car for sale there on autotrader. Not interested but saw they hAve a large number of five star reviews. Have to say they looked suspiciously faked by one person - all fat too similar They seem to get a steady supply of well priced and well specced cars. Seen a few I like but when you zoom in you start to see kerbed alloys and things. I suppose it depends on the car you are looking at. I’ve phoned about a couple over the last week and the sales people have been helpful and looked at the car for me. They told me about one that had bodywork repairs so naturally I left it.
I wouldn’t discount buying from them but perhaps the quality may be sacrificed compared to other examples elsewhere.
