Got a formal quote for the nhs e-tron deal through nhsfleetsolutions.

£318p/m
8kpa
24months 1+23
Includes metallic, insurance, maintenance, tyres and a podpoint charger installed at the house.

Crackin' deal in my eyes, even with some pension contribution impact that I need to consider. Other than the pension thing is there anything else I should be wary of when it comes to salary sacrifice deal?

Sorry again for being an NHS specific deal post!!
Different employer but our scheme includes insurance and standard excess is £250
Cancel order and it’s £250
Resign from your job and it’s £250

I have been looking at Cupra Ateca last few weeks, got some quotes and all are coming in with a 'cashback deal' whereby if you want a 9+35 they actually get you to sign a 12+35 and then the dealer sends you a cheque when you take delivery of the car for 3 x monthly payments. Sounds ok in theory, however what if the dealer goes bust or closes before you take delviery of the car or they decide they dont want to send you the 'cashback' you would be committed to the 12+35 deal with the finance company. Anyone on here know of this or done it?

Ive had a lease car for years and never come across this.
Saw this with another VW dealer but not an offer I took up.

If the cash back was somehow part of the finance deal then if they went bust then you might be protected. But often the dealer is just another party in the deal, separate to funder.

Likely they are getting their payment from manufacturer/funder in 3 months and it just makes cash flow easier

There is definitely an impact on your pension, your gross pay is reduced, therefore your pension contribution is reduced. As an example, if you lease a car through the nhs scheme for £300 per month, your gross pay is reduced by £3600 per year. The nhs pension is now a career average scheme, so for every year of your lease, £66.66 less per year goes into your carreer average ‘pot’ for that year (they add all the pots up at retirement and pay you the total each year). So a three year lease means £200 less per year at retirement.
To summarise, you’ve calculated that reducing the amount paid into your pension by £200 over 3 years reduces your payout by circa £3,000.

Please can show all you workings. Cheers.

I will start a NHS lease scheme thread if that's ok with everybody? I'd really like to get my head around it and it would prevent this thread being clogged up.

Thanks

It disappeared not long after posting so was probably mispriced.

about the same as a leaf which I think is the better car isnt it? (not an ev expert but certainly bigger and more practical for most)

The similarly priced Leaf only had a 40kWh battery, so the range isn't as good as the 50 kWh Zoe. The Zoe is a much smaller car though.

You know the monthly payment is irrelevant? we can make any car £200pm if you add enough deposit in....

Saw this Tucson deal earlier and thought it looked decent value albeit a manual.

As with others I’m struggling to replace a v60 T5 with anything that comes close to the old Santander deals.

I wondering if its worth starting a LEAF thread as well.
I have put most of the quotes posted here on a spreadsheet.
About to 'FTK' as you guys say on a LEAF Tekna in Gun Metal.
1*23 £347.58 for 15k miles pa with Smith's.
That includes the service plan.
I might end up keeping my V90 till may regardless, but the insurance want £147 a month for temporary insurance.

Where from and how much? Seriously tempted by the 440i
It was from Dick Lovett Bristol. No where near as good a deal as the 420i, but coming from a Golf R I didn’t want to take the drop in power. It was £2k initial, then 23 x £428. 10k per annum. That’s with M Sport Pack added. Looking forward to collecting it.

I almost went for a Leaf lease. Did a bit of research - bought a used one instead (4 year old Tekna 24kwh)

Bought it for £10.3k - will be worth £6k 4 years from now, so about £1k a year depreciation. Good all year round for commutes 60 miles or less.

Worth looking into. Depreciation on the previous gen has been huge, and then flattens out to a virtual standstill. Worth looking into.
