not sure that's great advice, because only the dealers that do vast amount of fleet are able to use the VWFS and VAG support required to get the prices as cheap as the cheapest brokers. A general dealer may not even be able to price match, and that's even assuming their business model means they are happy to write out every penny of profit to get your business. There are volume dealers and there are margin dealers and you want the former. Not all dealers have fleet depts.

It is great advice if you find dealers with fleet departments, in turn who do volume sales. Which is why I also said to call lots of dealers. I contacted seven. Hit lucky on dealer #3. When the others came back to me they were more expensive than dealer 3. Every dealer varies on incentives, margins, volume sales, etc. Even my original fleet department that supplied my current A5 came nowhere close to my new A5 deal

If the car is funded by the a division of the manufacturer and the brokers are going via the same channel (and the deal is not funded by others as well) then a main dealer is the best way to avoid fees.

Thanks for the prompt response. I've been browsing the last 10 pages but couldn't find the deal (might have been due to me browsing at 2am). The only deals I can find on a 290 Cupra is 245p/m on a 10k and a £2.2k initial payment. I guess I'll have to keep looking around. Can't believe some people get a 3 month initial payment followed by 23 £240 or so for a nice car on here. Really need to get these deals myself asap ??????
Motorfinity are doing the Cupra on 6 up front and 10k miles for 2 years at £258.60 a month.

begs the question as to why the general person on the street, even if they are a regular leaser, could be bothered to ring around 7 dealers to get an answer when they could just find a good deal on here from a broker and get that. What's the point. The dealer will not be likely to be cheaper anyway.

The point is to save the £360 broker fee and in this case of this person, actually get a better deal than the broker.

That A4 deal isn't that special - look for S-Line and Black Edition cars - higher spec and less money.

plenty of brokers don't charge fees. Most of the time ringing around dealers won't get you a better deal, or the difference won't make the effort worth bothering with. £10 a month is borderline for me. Just depends how much time you are prepared to invest in trying. Just because it's been worth it in this one instance does not make it always worth trying, but people can do what they want. I wouldn't be advising everyone to absolutely every time ring round a ton of dealers - which is what the guy was saying to start with, and the bit i challenged.

Errrr, because the deal I found wasn't known about or posted publicly until I shared on this forum.

You say "the dealer will not be likely to be cheaper anyway" . If you had read my post you replied to you would have seen your comment made no sense as I had said I had found a cheaper deal and at a dealer.

The point of this forum is to share deals and those who want go and try to get it.

Thank you and thanks to MarkyMark34!

These are some really good deals. I guess the price drop is probably due to the new Cupra being around the corner.

I've also noticed this gem this morning (I'm not sure how to upload here, whether a thumbnail format or the other option):

Not a great deal on the A4. It's the poverty spec. Looks nothing like that too! The S-Line and Black Editions were being knocked out for that on a 3 down a few months back. That's a high amount to put down

read back what i said. I was not trying to challenge you finding a good deal. I was instead saying that most of the time there is no point in ringing around a ton of dealers because most of the time it won't get the results you got, so don't present it as something everyone should always do.

Thank you so much. That's the kind of advice I was after and very happy to have bookmarked this forum! I'll keep an eye here if any deals pop out and will ensure I check the S-Line / Black Edition trims - shame that I haven't stayed to look for them sooner.
Hi did anyone get anything back from RGW regarding A5 deal please thank you

Hi mate, never used this website before. I've put my details in for my Alfa Giulia Veloce and have an option which says 'Official Dealership' and also 'serviced by approved franchise' but it's saying its through 'secret service'. Are you familiar with this 'secret service'? I'm 99% sure its the Arnold Clark Alfa franchise i test drive this model given the location it's showing.
When you do your search put the postcode of the garage you want in as your postcode (i.e. the post code of the Alfa dealer in this case). You can then see how far the secret service is away from the postcode you input. That should narrow down which garage the secret service is or isnt.

As a guide, the S-Line was being offered for £270 on a 3+23 for a 2021MY a few months back. Now that is around £289 on the same profile against 6k miles. VWFS wasn't the funder but Lex Autolease. There are good deals (or were) last week on LeaseLoco and Select Car Leasing. Configure a Technik on the Audi website and you will see it looks nothing like the image used in the ad. You get full bulbs for rear lights and they look awful compared to Sport and S-Line up

I don't know how people have the time or the inclination to make all those calls to save what amounts to very little. The fee is irrelevant, its the total cost that matters. Brokers exist for a reason and are punting large allocations booked by dealers or in rare cases the importer. Life is too short.

I have a BMW M140i about half way through its lease which is likely to spend a lot of time sitting on the drive in the future as it looks like my workplace is considering a 75% to permanent change to working remotely.

Assuming I want to just pay an amount per month for "hassle free" motoring what is the cheapest way to get into something?

I'm actually shocked how little you can get something like a basic Aygo for if the figures on the sites are to be believed.
Corsa is one of the cheapest things at the moment. £761 down and then £126 pm for 2yr/5k

Nearest competitors are Fiat 500s and Dacia Sanderos.

I talked to RGW this morning, they've emailed the order confirmation at £299 on a 3+23, 10k pa. This deal wasn't advertised at the time but the staff member seemed to be confident it was available.

Presently not actioned this on my end as my partner has gone from certain she'd be happy with the car to not being sure rolleyes ill report if they can still honour if she has another change of heart and I submit

I'm getting mixed messages on here. Deal on or deal off ? I've just spoken to RGW and the deal is on. I am awaiting order proposal form.

I've gone for the metallic Mythos Black - £294 (23+6).

If 75% working from home, then why go for an Aygo?

Low miles = get huge engine, as mpg isn't a concern.

Haha, best close down this thread then! ;-) I got my A5 for 18.5% of the P11d; sale price (if it wasn't a PCH) representative of just shy of 40% off list price

How long is the ETA until the car is at your doorstep and what is the norm when you lease a car? I'm in the position where I'll be without a car as the main dealer is issuing a refund on a PCP due to a fault and they're picking up the car this week.
These cars have arrived / will by next week. Only meatallics available from pipeline. Mine arrived on these shores at the weekend. Solid white (the only standard colour) and any options are factory order. Factory is shut until mid July. Looking at a 10-12 week order you will be told. Reality is allow upto 20 weeks max
