Yeah you'll be paying the road tax which will be £470 year I think, warranty will run out after 3 years and you'll be due an MOT then too. Might need major service within 4 year period which could be costly, unless you hand back before that's due.
Lovely car however!
And, if you're anything like me, you'll be bored of it after 2 years and lose a small fortune getting out of the PCP, the reason I moved to leasing in the first place... :-)

Yep - it’s why I passed the A5 deals by. It’s a terribly dull engine. Fine as a mile muncher I guess, but dull as ditchwater if you get the chance to have some fun (and that’s before we discuss the totally inert steering).

If this continues, by November I’ll be ‘doing a truekumar’ and just drop the National deficit of Liberia on a BMW 3 series.
163hp and 280lb/s it’s still very capable considering the speed limit is 30 and the NSL is 70.

Also that fuel economy!

It's capable, but it's dull. My VX is 280hp and under a ton so perhaps I've been ruined by that and my previous fun cars. Horses for courses, but they're dull as ditchwater to drive. Nice interiors, though, so perfect for motorway cruising. And yes - I get 50mpg from my 40 TFSi so the 35TDi will be very good I imagine.

So guys, due to the lack of quality lease deals on a half decent performance saloon, I am considering going to a PCP deal on an M340i with Tech pack and shadow line pack.

The deal I have been offered is £9k deposit and £400 per month on a 4 year pcp deal. I’ve always gone for 2 year lease deals, therefore is there anything I need to watch out for on 4 year PCP? Road tax? Warranty? GVF?

Any help would be much appreciated on this.
You can get a new M4 for less than that, they currently have 2.9% deals on, including on ex demo cars so they can be had for around 40k.

Or you could get a brand new non ex demo for less than that just by searching M4 2.9% on google.

Dont know much about them 340i but that sounds seriously expensive for what it is

on 340's the GFV is 18.5 give or take (48 months). They do depreciate hard, that's what your paying for

think i'll have a 3 year old one if that's the case. GFV isn't quite the same as the residual value though, it is generally lower. It's a guaranteed minimum but only for the purpose of clearing the PCP finance balance.

50mpg?! Motorway only? Mixed? Wow

Didn’t know the TFSI’s have come a long way

Shame about the delay for some of them currently wouldn’t have minded a TFSI

Mostly motorway - 4 or 5 miles through town at the start and finish, and yes, 50mpg from my A5 according to the computer. I was impressed too. That’s lockdown M25 so a steady 75mph cruise over about 100miles. Best I saw was 51mpg.

I ordered one back in May as well, they gave me an Audi reference and according to their tracker its built and in transit to UK, but I also got a message from the leasing company saying it doesn't even have a build week yet.

I got the email update from Audi saying my order reference was in transit this week, so I will be asking the lease company to confirm if its actually built yet.

Can't you buy almost new one for £30K?. I know you can get 435 x-drive for that, but never looked at 340i prices. Anyway, it's probably the most expensive deal posted here in years.

I had A6 40tdi avant rental last week. It was ok for M25 run, but it's like white goods, nothing else. If.I went for A7, I would look for quattro and bigger engine, preferably 50tdi. (286bhp)

Agreed - my current lease is an A7 45tdi and I'd definitely not consider a 40. Car much too big / heavy for that engine I imagine.

Same for the A5 deals on 35 engine - would need to be convinced
I’ve got a A6 40 tdi, I agree it could do with more power plus a sharper gear box but I did 100 miles each way to Brum and back today averaging 60+ mpg each way which isn’t bad for a car of its size.

Perry's had the Cupra Ateca on the deal in posted a page or two back, looks about the same. Regardless of if it passes the amortised % good deal or not it was good compared to what else is about.

I was told it was for current model (new one due soon, but looks like only minor changes), delivery mid August or could be 1st Sept on new reg. They had 1 white, 1 red, 1 grey last Friday.

Carwow is pretty good if you're after an outright PCP deal, I was seeing up to 23% off some of the german high performance stuff I did builds on.

If there's no lease deals this will be my 2nd choice plan I think, see what the monthly lease rates equate to in a low rate loan and see what that gets.... Yes, the hassle of selling down the road but no tie in, must be worth a look.

I’m sure it’s been mentioned on this thread or Vol 7 about dealers refunding some of the initial payment as part of the deal.

Have they come good on this and how come it’s not advertised as such?

Was having a look at this Kodiaq deal. States £2490 upfront but when I got a quote the document has £3160 as initial (roughly 12 months multiple) but in the body of the email the sales dude said I get £670 back on delivery of vehicle.

Presumably sharing some of what they get from manufacturer after registering vehicle

Cheeky question. My jag lease is due to go back. I have a puncture repaired on a rear tyre, would they spot that on inspection?

The was a similar style deal I took on a Seat a few years ago. Worked well, cheque received 2:3 days after delivery. Initial payment taken around a month later as agreed.
