How have people been finding the S90 or V90 variants to drive?
I have a V90 with the T4, and came from a BMW 330d. The interior is a really nice place to be, seats are amazing. Infotainment is a bit naff though, and the sat nav is less than useful.

200bhp is just about enough, but it can be sluggish. The worst thing about the car is the gearbox - it's awful. coasting to a roundabout, all clear, foot down, nothing for a few seconds, then kick-down. Bloody awful.
This sums up my 18k miles in a V90 D4. Not many positives past the seats. I wouldn't again.

And I would

It’s a barge not a sports car and if you think like that it’s great

Needs to be cheap though, the best deals were on petrol cars. Mine eventually did 40mpg on the motorway but took a while to loosen up

Stereo is fantastic, yearly servicing less so

Mine went couple of months ago
I was paying 300/month ,best deal to change was about 370 so I’m out

Cheers

Good summation, and I would again too.

Currently in a T4 R-Design on a pistonheads calculation of 17%.

I find the gearbox to be sluggish too, and the economy is awful, currently on 27.3mpg over 14k miles.

Very practical and a lovely place to sit and while away the commuting hours.....

Nice thanks
Looks really good at £299 on 3+23
Do we know for sure if it’s a loyalty deal or not
Will call on Monday

Edited by ODRALLAG on Friday 3rd July 22:46
I rang RGW early today and can confirm this deal is open to ALL and not just to loyalty customers.

Audi released Q3 prices y'day hence couple of deals already as mentioned on here A7 and now the A5.

A5 is the uplift model and on factory order (10-12 weeks).
Hi I have spoken to them advised this deal is only for loyalty customers shame I really wanted one

That's not what I got told on Friday. Funny thing is they've removed the deal online and have updated the prices on their website for all the models.

Me too. Deal looks dead. I was waiting on a call back from James at RGW but I spoke to him on Friday and wasn't told it was Audi Loyalty only.

I haven't spoken to them this morning and really should have closed the deal on friday but didn't due to high processing fee.

I don't see the point in phoning now the offer has been removed and they've changed their stance! Now it makes me think the deal wasn't there in the first place but to entice customers and steal details ! This kind of practice makes me livid (understatement) !!!

ContractCars continue to spam the st out of my inbox with Audi loyalty deals - an A5 S-Line 35Tdi Sportback is about £8k for 2 years and 10k miles all in with them on loyalty. HMG1K got it for £500 or so less with metallic, but less miles I think.

I have an Audi, but don't want a diesel A5 unfortunately.

Yep, I got mine on 6k miles per annum. My current A5 is on 6k and in two years (due back now but have informal extension to January) I've covered just 9k.

There was pounds between the miles on my latest deal via Audi. £296 for 8k.i I opted for what I currently have, 6k for £292 on a 3+23

Always check for pence per mile if you go over. My Audi direct deal funded by VWFS is 9p per mile including VAT. I sussed I'd take the 6k. If I go over it's just £90 per 1,000 miles.

My current A5, via a broker two years ago, still funded by VWFS, is / was 11p per mile, Inc. VAT

Another aspect to keep in mind mind if funded by VWFS (may apply generally but I only have experience of VWFS) is in the last six months apply for an extension price. I was quoted from my current car's £305 a month as low as £256 p/m. It gives you seven days to take it or not. I didn't. The facelift A5 orders were then being taken in February for April delivery, and in February the price rose to £410. If you do do this, make sure you get in before orders for the revised model are being taken!

is the loyalty thing VWFS funded or is it contract cars trying to encourage repeat business with them... if the latter then that just says to me they are making more money from non-repeat customers than maybe they should be, if they can offer additional discounts to others.

Neither did I really, as currently have a 40 TFSI - but you chase the deal not the car - and certainly not the engine. The 35 TDI is a competent engine. The torque is in the bottom range than the TFSI in the mid

Hi all, I've been looking through this thread since January this year but then changed my mind and decided that leasing wasn't my cup of tea. Well, long story short, my MK7.5 Golf GTI Performance has an issue with a timing chain and dealer issues a full refund 1 month into the PCP deal.

I'm going to be buying a new home within the next 2 years and I believe that leasing will reflect a lot better when applying for a mortgage, rather than having the full PCP price on your credit score.

So I'm back in the market for a lease deal. Correct me if I'm wrong, but most of you guys find deals on LeaseLoco, Lease.com and CarWow? I know a few of you mentioned to visit the dealer. I also know that some of the deals are like flash, they come and go immediately. Would appreciate any help!

I want something family friendly but also a little bit nippy, e.g. Golf GTI, Cupra, A4/A5 S Line, Golf MK8 (Style / R-Line). Everyone wants a bargain, so I'm looking to get my month lies to circa £250 for a 10k per annum with around 9m initial payment. I've seen that this was doable on the forums with some super offers going around.
There was a decent deal on the Cupar 290 a few pages back and on HUKD

Hi, does anyone know how Santander are with their damage charges upon return? I know sometimes it’s a lot less hassle and even on occasion cheaper to accept the charges vs repairing before return. I have a small area of damage to the front bumper that would fall outside of the acceptable category. Thanks

VWFS funded. Which is the best advice I can give and you will read on this forum from me in the case of any VWFS car is go direct to the dealer! Cut out the middle agent. Save yourself £££ in broker fees. Do your homework. Ring dealers far and wide. Speak to them, build a rapport. You will glean much needed and useful information for your gain regardless of the price being too high. You will also hit on a dealer who will do the deal that is as cheap or cheaper than a broker.

Lastly, always speak with the fleet sales department, never the usual sales people

Yeah, agreed - I'm just bored of Audis now - it's a good car and I reckon the 35TDi will be too, but after four years in 40TFSi cars I need either a better spec, or a more interesting car. Annoyed I missed out on the TROC R deals - would have suited me more and cost about the same. I was very tempted with a black edition A4 Avant with comfort and sound, but hesitated and missed the best prices.

A hot hatch or faster saloon would be ideal for me, but very little about still.

Just spoke with RGW re A5 and no mention of loyalty deal??

Confirmed the £299pm on 3&23 10k miles and no movement in admin fee.

Running figures to include metallic and 36months and coming back to me.

Not holding my breath, but will see what happens.

not sure that's great advice, because only the dealers that do vast amount of fleet are able to use the VWFS and VAG support required to get the prices as cheap as the cheapest brokers. A general dealer may not even be able to price match, and that's even assuming their business model means they are happy to write out every penny of profit to get your business. There are volume dealers and there are margin dealers and you want the former. Not all dealers have fleet depts.

Thanks for the prompt response. I've been browsing the last 10 pages but couldn't find the deal (might have been due to me browsing at 2am). The only deals I can find on a 290 Cupra is 245p/m on a 10k and a £2.2k initial payment. I guess I'll have to keep looking around. Can't believe some people get a 3 month initial payment followed by 23 £240 or so for a nice car on here. Really need to get these deals myself asap ??????
