Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 8)
Discussion
My convo went like this:
AR: So you've ruined my credit score and admit it's your fault, not mine, but you refuse to fix it?
VWFS: Yes.
AR: That's fking ridiculous
VWFS: That's the way it is. The systems don't let me fix it.
AR: Can I speak to your manager?
VWFS: I'll get him to call you
He didn't.

technically the very poor offer was from vehicle remarketer rather than lease funder.
BCA requested price from VWFS. It wasn't automatic quotation from BCA website, it couldn't quote. Had to wait a week for email.Greg2018 said:

Good deal and price, from my maths works out about £200 more than the rgw which I've gone for over the term, but for that you get metallic paint, I'm presuming any choice of colour? If you fussed about colour then this works out about £400 cheaper then. I'm ok with white.
What colour have you gone for?

Looking to get a bigger car for the Mrs, dont need the miles just need something well specked with a boot for the dog.
A few deals on the go, not stonking but not terrible
Tiguan 1.5 R Line Tech - These are in stock I guess due to the facelift thats just happened they want rid:
2k down and 309 a month - 36 months 5k pa https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/express-ve...
B9.5 A4 Avant 35 black edition comfort and sound - good spec, lovely inside. I currently have a B9 S4 so would want to get rid and get something else if we got this
1800 down and 312 a month — 36 months 5k pa https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/car-leasin...
XC40 - a bit small - this deal is the base model with 10k per year when we need 5lk.- seems Santander will do a similar offer on higher spec car
0 down 309 a month - 36 months 10k pa - https://www.santanderconsumer.co.uk/123contracthir...
Any other deals anyone’s seen for a decent SUV or Estate?
There has been some decent deals on the Pug 3008, worth keeping an eye out, the gt line premium or ridiculously specced including massage heated front seats! having only sat in one so far its a lovely car and from owners Ive spoken too seems to drive nicely too.A few deals on the go, not stonking but not terrible

How did you get this sorted? My wife is having this issue with VWFS. Car was ordered through Vertu for confirmed delivery in March. Vertu tried to deliver the car to us in February with no warning and we refused. VWFS came for their money in February when we didn't even have the car. Vertu then covered the payment as it was their fault.
VWFS and Vertu have both been bloody hopeless and I want this missed payment marker removed from her account. Is there an ombudsman that covers this?
There's a thread on here that's worth reading - but I made a fuss everywhere - sent a formal letter by post, an email and then accused them of all sorts on Twitter copying in Autocar etc. Finally ended up with somebody who knew what they were doing. The frontline staff I dealt with up until that point were thick as mince and rude with it. Maybe I was unlucky but it doesn't sound like it.VWFS and Vertu have both been bloody hopeless and I want this missed payment marker removed from her account. Is there an ombudsman that covers this?

I got one for the Mrs and its a great car. Loads of kit, all works.
Did Scotland to London in a single tank and felt fine after doing the journey.
228pcm for 18m with 10k/pa
No deposit.
Came delivered with 300m on the clock (no damage) and they took that off the contract total.

I was due an Audi A4 toward the end of March, delivery was cancelled the day before. The lease broker told VWFS the car had been delivered. They had also told me the deal wasn't actually as advertised, as the up front was part funded by Audi, and that it would be paid to me before the first instalment was due.VWFS and Vertu have both been bloody hopeless and I want this missed payment marker removed from her account. In the event I was left with no car and no response at all from VWFS by email, letter or phone. I then received letters telling me I was £2500 in arrears.
The lease agreement has since disappeared from my credit report, but still no contact or acknowlegement of the error from VWFS.
The response from the broker was to tell me I owe them £1300 for not following through with the deal. Not one apology at all.

We missed out on that deal and just missed out on one post Covid that was a decent price on some pre reg cars (think those who've had theirs delivered with bird st on them) just waiting to see if they come back down again at all, I'm sure the Mrs would be happy with a qashqai but I don't think I would be 😂😂Loads of kit, all works.

My Mrs has just got a Qashqai, it's about £216 per month amortised from Zen, but they're a bit more expensive now.I've spend a reasonable amount of time driving a 3008 and they're both equally meh, but perfectly acceptable transport. The 3008 does have incredibly un-intuitive controls which would probably take a while to get used to! Steering wheel is tiny as well.
As it's all about the price, just go for whichever is the best deal. Neither are loveable, but both are perfectly pleasant to drive around in.

In the interests of balance, I have dealt with VWFS on a number of occasions the past two years. (From swapping licence plates at the start of the lease, swapping them back at the end; informal extension; having been charged two parking fines without being given the chance to contest them with TfL and VWFS refunding me the £320 it automatically took. I've always had a friendly and professional tone from VWFS both on the phone and on email.
Yes, there is another thread I may be directed to to say otherwise. Yes credit scores may have been mucked up badly (for which there is clear channels to redress this and have your score corrected). But in the interests of balance, I've experienced professionalism.
That’s far far too kind to VWFS imo. Mucking up credit scores shouldn’t be habitual and can be very serious - had I been out looking for a house I’d have had my mortgage application refused. Proper channels take ages to go down. VWFS are to be avoided. In the interests of balance the thread about them was 30 odd pages long last time I checked it.Yes, there is another thread I may be directed to to say otherwise. And professional? Not even nearly. Stupid, rude and hard to contact. Yes. Professional? No.
As an aside, "30 odd pages", you say, of VWFS bashing. Was that 30 pages of individual experiences or 30 pages of the same X amount amount of people repeatedly replying to a few posts? Oh, an quoting? Quoting takes up a sizeable chunk of the page! ;-)

Hahaha - do you work for VAG by any chance? If so please fix your st customer service.
ETA and joking aside all pages are the same length - 20 posts. Quoting and length of content doesn’t affect it. So 30 pages would be 600 posts.
Haha! Nope, not for VAG and nothing to do with the automotive industry, neither are any of my family! ETA and joking aside all pages are the same length - 20 posts. Quoting and length of content doesn’t affect it. So 30 pages would be 600 posts.

So guys, due to the lack of quality lease deals on a half decent performance saloon, I am considering going to a PCP deal on an M340i with Tech pack and shadow line pack.
The deal I have been offered is £9k deposit and £400 per month on a 4 year pcp deal. I’ve always gone for 2 year lease deals, therefore is there anything I need to watch out for on 4 year PCP? Road tax? Warranty? GVF?
Any help would be much appreciated on this.
