Hi All,

Just joined the forum.

I have previously built EFI'd R Type Jaguar, Rover V8 Engined Porsche 944, V8 Capri... all using Megasquirt…

I'm planning a BOA engine Scimitar, I have the engine, built a hybrid MT75, and have an Emerald K3.

I have a couple of questions regarding the K3....

1. How do I configure it to run Speed Density (MAP) rather than TPS?

2. Wiring the injectors, are 2 banks of 3 ok in Batch fire? I know it just switches ground, and I'll be using 16r Injectors, but cannot see mention anywhere of 3 injectors per driver.

I have a K3 running a BOA in my mk2 Granada.
It is using TPS based load instead of MAP, and it is wired up as 3 pairs of injectors if that helps biggrin

Cheers, I’ll wire the injectors 3 x 2, I have the Bosch injectors, supposedly a better spray pattern, but they were cheap and high impedance

Think I’ll still wire a nd connect a MAP sensor, whether its needed will be decided at the rolling road.

Have you had a word with Dave Walker? he could probably send you a map to get you up and running.

Yes, he sent me a base map.

I’m still building the car, but want to build in the options to get it running well when I get as far as the rollers....

you can right click in the SW on the TPS y-Scale and select the load indicator.
Together with a wideband lambda, it is not hard to get a nice drivable map within 1h. Done it.
Downside is that idle stability is not no easy to achieve with long duration cams on speed density compared to alpha-n.
