Porsche Panamera 3.0 diesel
Discussion
3.0 diesel have the following servicing requirements (and approximate costs):
10k mile oil change (150-200)
20k minor service (500)
2yrly brake fluid change (150)
40k major service (750)
Additionals are established at mileage or time intervals for example:
60k / 6yr air filter change
60k / 6yr transmission clutch fluid change
60k / 6yr PDCC fluid and reservoir change (if fitted)
Tyre pressure sensors last around 5-6yrs; replaceable around 100 each.
Warranty can be extended up to 124999 miles / 10yrs (around 1k/yr)
120k / 12 yrs AWD (if fitted) / diff oil change
160k / 16yrs transmission ATF change
Brakes and tyres - not cheap but last well; make sure the chassis geometry is kept in check to maximise life of the above. AC Condensor is quite exposed; can be damaged rendering AC inop; other coolers can be obscured by debris and cause corrosion and subsequent leaks - PAS cooler; ATF cooler and coolant radiator. Keep water drains clear - same as any vehicle that one; to be honest. Air suspension fairly reliable; and more comfy than steel sprung chassis - compressor issues have been known - though not too expensive to repair.
In general; great cars. First cars are now 10yrs old; no horror stories as far as I know - I have worked on them since launch so feel qualified to say that!!

Not specific to Panamera but quote below is a good view of why buying diesel now is not a good idea (nicked from another forum I am a member of)
"Sootchookers are losing money hourly...... My Q7 is losing money faster than any of my RS6s did. Honestly.
Inner city bans, high tax discs, tighter MOT's, Turbo lag, DPF problems and of course, that awful tractor sound.... Oh, and did I mention the smell ?....
The motor trade is in the biggest mess its ever been in.... They can't shift diesel cars.... and, can't afford to discount them any further. Nobody wants them.
The BiTdi was a superb engine, 7 years ago when it came out. More turbos, more eco crap, more stuff to go wrong, clog up, and break. Great for tuning. Not so great for regular daily reliability.
If I absolutely had to drive something sooty, I'd lease it, only so I knew my loses were contained and its all under warranty for when it clogs up and breaks. I think its going to be a very turbulent few years in motoring imo...
They are limping the last few breaths out of diesel engines whilst major manufacturers figure out how the hell to make something electric, and good. And in the meantime, petrol, has actually come back into favour...."
