When was the last time you went on a bus?

Last weekend to get from Murrayfield back into town after the rugby.
They do tap and go payment, it was not biblically raining inside the bus (unlike outside) and it dropped us directly outside the restaurant we had booked.
So all in all a positive experience for the Lothian bus service.
Before that, maybe 10 years ago...

I use them when I'm visiting Brighton. Great service.
I also use them regularly to get into Cambridge, good service.
I can't use them anymore to get to one of the garages I move cars for as they've scrapped the service in the daytime.
This has been terrible for the residents of the village who don't own cars.
Oh, and in answer the the OP's question, last Thursday to get to Cambridge railway station.

2 weeks ago. Was going into the centre of Belfast for some afternoon/evening drinks.
I'd probably use the bus 3/4 times a year, it's the best way to get into Belfast City Centre avoiding the complete lack of parking, the maze of 1 way streets and the bus lanes that pop up in the middle of the road to catch you out.

I've got a lovely bus pass, being a pensioner, and I use it to get to town (Chelmsford) or the ever more frequent visits to Brromfield Hospital. The latter is especially useful as parking is a nightmare there. The bus drops me right by the font door.
I get to look out the windows and notice stuff I've never seen before. I like going through the estates, where it it's apparent that all the councillistas that we like to mock on PH actually take a lot of interest in eachother, chat and socialise in a way that the few middle class toffs slumming it (that's me folks) stay well out of. There's never a journey without its share of in flight entertainment.
The trouble is that First Bus are exploiting their monopoly and reducing services unfairly, which is quite a bone of contention recently.

stood there telling him how many prople we had, he mumbled to me, I repeated how many people, again he mumbled,
my mate told me he wants to know where we are going.
last time I was on a bus before that it was 20p and get off where you needed to.
edit, I went on a bus about 10 15 years ago walked to the bus stop a mile away, sign said every 20 mins, waited first one missed, second one full so didnt stop, got on third, ever since I walk 3 miles the other direction to town,
