Yeah. They have been absolutely fine to deal with on my lease which goes back this week.

Haha, read reviews about charges from Pink Leasing when returning the car. You will find quite a lot about it.

They seem to have good reviews on Feefo, Google and TrustPilot. In my experience, they have been just fine.

Ordered one of the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo lease deals for my missus - advert stated a March 2021 plate at the time of order (end of Jan) , and have signed the order based on the advert however the lease company have been in touch and said the car will be delivered this Wednesday which is of course still February 2021, and I presume as such won't be on the new plate.

If it was my own car I was buying I'd be bothered as it may affect resale in future, but thoughts with it being a lease?

Thanks

ask them to give you the first month for half price or say that you want to wait till March. Or if you NEED it just take it

I can't imagine why this would ever bother you with a lease, unless you're trying to impress your neighbours...

Surely you signed a contract that included a delivery date?
Anyway...does early delivery create issues for you eg insurance, drive way space etc. If so ask them to delay delivery.
Not sure what your issue is re the plate. It’s a lease.

Might well be worth looking on leasing.com and what car leasing to try and find an audi dealer that will offer you that same car and match the price offered by Pink Leasing. At least that way you will be under VWFS and end of lease charges are really quite fair, all handled via BCA.

I disagree - whether its a lease or a purchase or whatnot its still the car I drive every day. If I am paying good money and ordered the car as it was advertised or promised to be on the new plate then I would expect to get it.

I'm definitely not looking to defend them, as my dealings with them aren't finished yet - so there's still time for it to all go wrong. But those points all seem to relate to fairly simple damage disputes, which are surely fairly standard?

The inspection was done last week, and threw up everything I expected (3x diamond-cut wheel refurbs and a scratch on the bumper). Repair quotes were reasonable too - all were cheaper than I'd been quoted elsewhere.

I think it was about how high the fees were for actual damage.

It's a brand new car that you lease. Registration plate is irrelevant.

That's really interesting.

My charges were 109 per wheel and 180 for the bumper (~£500 in total), both of which were cheaper than I could get them done for locally (with the added bonus of not having to bother getting them done in lockdown etc.).

That seems quite reasonable to me, but maybe my barometer of reasonable-ness is off?

The wheel repair costs don't seem too bad to be fair. If I recall correctly the chap complaining about them said they were charging him £225 per wheel, which does seem steep.

What car are you returning?

Lol - not to me it isn't Penelopa - I love having the brand new plate every couple of years :-)

I even handed back my last car early as (amongst other reasons to be fair) it meant my new change month would be March going forward!

Just the boring BMW hybrid in my profile. Being replaced by an equally boring Volvo hybrid later this week.

You asked for thoughts..... what did your contract state? If they haven’t honoured the contract then you can argue it out with them and gain compensation for the damages you have had to suffer - whatever they might be. I suspect your contract would have just stated the model and referenced an estimated delivery date. They then would have contacted you to confirm a delivery date and a number plate. Do you think they have knowingly pulled a fast one on you?

In my case, dealers seem to care more than I do. My first lease car was delivered to me on 31 August, so I could start driving it from next day. Had to sign papers I won't drive it before reg date.

Current dealer also mentioned couple of times, that my car will arrive in March for new plate.
