Been racking my brains for what would be the most exciting way to spend £15k.

Only one rule:

- Must have realistic back seats

Can anyone do better than an E46 M3?

Very personal something. Some cars which some people might consider more exciting would be:

Integra Type-R
RX8
Maserati 4200GT Coupe (the running costs might break you)
Various older classic four seaters like high power mk1 Escorts

I'm sure there's as many others are there are people to have opinions. The M3 is certainly a fabulous car for the money, just be wary of that rear subframe. smile

Yes, agree with above
You need to tell us ALL the things you don’t like e.g turbos, number of cylinders, marque etc etc

Different people find different things fun/exciting

I would, and did, choose a 996.

There are rear seats and there are rear seats. Do you have kids and actually need them to be useable?

Depends what you want it for, it's a great all rounder, but it's heavy, they will need rear subframes welded up at some point if it's not done already, will likely need the vanos rebuilt at some point and may need new bearing shells depending on how the previous owners drove it. They aren't exactly the last word in dynamics, but they handle well enough and aren't too slow, and for my money, I think they still look pretty good, which is a bonus

I'd want a white one personally, but I'd prefer a Civic FD2

I suspect you have a different definition than most.

Sadly yes, need to be usable.

This is the car I’m selling to the gf as the “practical third car” — hence also needs to be somewhat modern.

At this stage I’m pretty open minded so long as it’s something with a degree of rarity and real presence- doesn’t even have to be a performance car necessarily. Just refuse to spend money on anything dull!

How about a Chrysler 300?

It doesn't get much more exciting than this:
https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1033293

On one hand, the terrible pictures and the fact the ad's been up for months probably mean its an absolute basketcase.

On the other hand:
It looks awesome

It's a convertible (At least 25% more exciting than an equivalent metal roof)

The straight line performance is still impressive today. 0-60 in 8.2 seonds!

You can pretend you're in a seventies cop show biggrin:
