My V90CC deal is up mid Feb 2021. When should I start looking for/ordering a replacement?

Hi, where is this deal please:
@tonker
Subject to it being available,

6+23 on a mk8 golf Life 5 dr 130 petrol manual. So with the digital cockpit gubbins. Battleship grey. 15k pa. 207 inc VAT (less the government’s 3 months free).

Works out at 6458 all in. So amortised at 269.

Because the electric 208 deals got pulled and the 2008 was a chunk more, I was going to get the 1.0 fiesta active at 5300 (same stats) that’s around at the moment. But it was vetoed as ‘the first car you get. And I am not a teenager’

“more’s the pity” is apparently not an appropriate response.

From VW.

My current lease expires on 1 Feb 2021. I've been browsing (a tad) for a few weeks now (and checking out this thread).

Doesn't hurt to start looking around now, imo. Even if "good" deals are non existent.

Regular reminder that leasing isn't mandatory. If you can't find a good deal, you can just go and get a used car on a loan... no one needs a new car, it's just a nice to have. No point getting upset about lack of deals, it's just the way it is right now.
But..................but..........what will the neighbours think yikes
that's literally what it is isn't it smile
No.
go on then... why is it essential to lease

I ordered in July last year for January delivery, and it wasn’t actually ready until March in the end (then hit by Coronavirus), so if the right deal comes up it’s worth asking if delivery can be held until Feb.

I don't think that's what he is disagreeing with.

Best check with the lease company. It should be inclusive of VAT but I've seen plenty of offers like this where the excess is still minus the VAT.

Has anyone seen any decent deals for a XC40? Her in doors wants one but it has to be the higher power ones (190+ HP), 4wd and auto. Cheapest I’ve seen is +£2500 + £350 a month.

Give Santander a call. They list the T3, but they will quote you on any car in the Volvo range.

Cheers, that one advertised is 10k per year, she does half that so a T4(?) may be cheaper?

Correct.

I don't agree that people are upset at the lack of good deals because they're worried about being negatively judged by the neighbours if they buy a used car.

If anything the opposite is true, most of my neighbours thought I was a flash ahole when I got my current leased e class. hehe

I don't know who is agreeing or disagreeing with what... my point is that i can't think of any justification that someone may feel they have as to why it
it is essential that have a new car on a lease.

That looks like a pretty good price, and it changes by sensible increments when you alter the payment profile, so it doesn't look like a misprice.

Generally <6 months left on current lease is a good benchmark.

However, mines due May 2021 and I always keep an eye on this thread to see the current state of the market.......which doesn’t look that good at the moment.

people can be upset if they like, but it's fruitless as it changes nothing. I was more meaning WHY be upset... why does it matter so much to you... you don't need a lease and no one else does either, and no one is forcing you into signing on something you don't want.

In a way it would be better just to not comment about there being no deals, as every time someone comments it brings this thread to the top of peoples' watch lists and they check it in case there are deals....... however there are none, and it's just posts and posts of people complaining there are no deals.

...and on that note I will leave it there.

Let's just keep this about good deals shall we rather than any other discussion that isn't about deals. Create a separate thread if you want to discuss this sort of thing. Defeats the whole point of a dedicated thread to deals.

you're telling me mate, i am trying to challenge the constant complaining about no deals. I see that as off topic, maybe you quite like it.

Anyway no one loves commanding everyone back on topic more than i do, so please try and keep it on topic would you.
