What are peoples opinions on Seat Leon FR 1.4 hybrid 3 + 23 £240 a month with no admin fees? 10,000 miles p/a. Spec seems ‘ok’ for saying it’s the lower end model. I’m in the process of selling my Mk8 Golf GTI and swore I’d steer clear of VAG for a while - but here I am.
Toying with the idea of a model 3 SR for £20,105 over 3 years 10,000 p/a, but struggling with the idea of paying 50% of list price over only 3 years… stock is sparse though and I need something for 6 weeks time!
I’ll be commuting 200 miles on the M1 regularly so trying to channel my inner Greta and tell myself electric is the way and a measly VAG tax dodger isn’t solving anything…

I’ve asked gorilla leasing to price match (they say they have some in stock - I’m yet to verify)
Looking for a bit of advice on my first lease I am considering.

Should get around 35 miles from the battery, so overall running costs will be decent, just trying to work out the saving v petrol / diesel to offset against the monthly lease cost.
It's the 15k miles per annum which makes this a stand out for me with most of the deals popping up between 5-8k.

The Mrs has the Seat Leon FR hybrid and it works well for us as her daily. She's got a 28 mile round trip commute and in summer does this entirely on electric (just). No chance in winter though, when the electric range is more like 20 miles. Longer trips, any hybrid advantage soon disappears. We've got the Seat Leon FR hybrid, so a slightly lighter car with same engine. Based on my wife's commute it does 28 miles on electric in summer, but closer to 20 miles in winter months. Skoda Octavia Estate

I like it as a car and think it works well, but on longer trips any hybrid advantage soon disappears. I'd just say working out any cost savings based on getting 35 miles on electric is a bit optimistic.

FTK today on the V60 B3 Santander deal - 36 months @ £299 and 10k. The 24 month deal ends up being at 23% which is pretty good given current conditions. I was really at a loss as to do seeing as there was so little out there but thankfully this came up and i'm now sorted for another 3 years. Oof!
That's really good value for a premium big auto family car with mild hybrid and great spec.At the bottom of the market 3 years ago, I had got an A4 Avant manual Sport for £265 amortised.

Had a call from Zen about my BMW Z4 20i M-Sport order from last week. Apparently, whoever ordered red, will have a call about lack of availability in stock and will be offered white. I actually don't mind, because I considered white but it wasn't on a list of available colours. Also, price went down and my new quote is £3000 + 23 x 241 = £8,543, 2 years, 10K miles per annum.
Still 8-10 weeks for delivery, which is fine for me. Enough time to fix and return current car.
I got that call this morning! Still 8-10 weeks for delivery, which is fine for me. Enough time to fix and return current car.
Ironically I had called them on Monday to see if I could swap to black or white.
The red looks great in pictures and bright sunlight but in the general dullness of the UK it looks non metallic tomato sauce most of the time.
When I chose it ,there was a red Z4 parked harbourside in the sunshine for 2 days ,looked great, day 3 the heavens opened the sun disappeared cue the overall ketchup effect.
Day 4 of more rain, I was trying to convince myself I hadn't made a mistake!
So £15 a month less,and a colour I am happy with.
Result!
I shoulda known better having in the past ordered a 2012 3 series in Melbourne Red out of a brochure.
When it arrived I thought there had been a mistake it was so dull and non metallic looking!
What a shocker, lease company list a car at a price, lease company honours the price and the car actually exists.
Stay tuned to hear about the lease company that delivers the car !!
Fingers crossed!

I can remember people mentioning that we can get cheap Gap insurance through here… anyone got the link? Are there referral codes?
Thanks, Dan.
And when you find Ala Gap, do some quotes from other companies, they are usually cheaper even if you use discount code on Ala: MSE25 gives 25% off. Thanks, Dan.
