Evening all,

Looking for a long term comfy car and I've settled on either a passat or CC. Would be a 2.0 tdi with the 140bhp spec and DSG.

Is the CC, apart from looking nice in my eyes, a significantly more comfy/better car than the passat or are they very much the same?

Can’t saying anything about the Passat but I’ve owned 2 CC’s back to back and love them. The first one manual 140bhp and the second was the more powerful R line 170bhp with the DSG box. Had it for 5yrs from new and only sold it as we needed an estate car. The R line was the better one to drive.

We have a CC at work with I think the 140 TDi and DSG.
My criticism of it is that as a tall guy (6ft4) I find it a pain to get in and out of due to the way the roof line is shaped, I always find i'm catching my head on the roof getting in unless I contort myself, the rear is even worse due to the way the roof slopes down.

For that reason alone I wouldn't buy the CC version personally,
