It’s the right way to look at it - but then you get an EV tariff from your electricity supplier and your fuel costs virtually disappear. My EQC isn’t very efficient for an EV and costs well under £20 per month for 700 miles.
Which Supplier do you have for electricity and what tariff are you on? That looks like a great deal for elecricity.

I currently have a leaf I leased 3 years ago so coming to an end soon. 12000miles, 1 month upfront, and £240 a month incl. maintenance. Are there any deals out there that match that price? I am thinking of getting another one.

Thank you.

Anyone had a update on the Skoda Octavia’s mine has went from being in stock to awaiting build date now
6 week on Tuesday since ordering mine.

Ordered a stock car, this turned into a factory build at order, so feeling a little hoodwinked. Order states 4 to 6 weeks. Not going to wait forever.

Octopus Intelligent Go is 7p/kWh, which if your using 3.5miles/kWh works out at 2p/mile. So for 700 miles @2p/mile that works out at £14.

https://octopus.energy/smart/intelligent-octopus-g...

Other suppliers are available, YMMV biggrin

I'm on Octopus Go which is 8.5p per kWh for 5 hours a night, that's ALL your supply.

To be on Intelligent Go for an even cheaper 7.5p, you need a compatible car or wall charger. Honda isn't one of them. rolleyes

I’m with EON and pay 6.9p kWh between midnight and 7.00am. Most suppliers have a tariff around the same rate I think.

E.on next drive tariff charges 6.7p midnight till 7am, works for any EV or charger.

Exports pay 16.5p (rather than 15p with octopus) which may interest you if you have solar and/or battery, but they pay out less frequently and customer service not as speedy.

Tomato Energy Lifestyle is a fair bit cheaper than IOG.

Worth a look as it doesn't require any specific EV chargers.

With any EV tariff always check how much the 'day rate' increases by and what impact that will have on your household.

Or on the flipside what extra savings you can get by running your washing machine, dishwasher etc on timers to make the most of a cheaper rate on an ev type tariff.

I’ve been told from Central it’s being held at port exit and will be informed when it arrives in the uk. I think its not been built yet and will be mid Jan now

If I've not got finance papers/reg/vin by 14 December I'll consider my options.

If central have said it's built, call their bluff and request vin.

I don't know how you drive yours, perhaps lots of motorway driving? I was getting over 230 mile range in the summer, always in ECO mode, in my eNy1 although it has plummeted to under 200 with the heating on (periodically wink ).

Efficiency drops by over 20% cruising at indicated 75 rather than 65 mph. My average May to September was 3.9 miles / kWh. It was 3.1 yesterday hoofing up the M5. frown
My average is now down at 2.8 miles / kWh, over 8,500 miles. The winter range is frustrating sometimes as I've had to drive without the heating on to ensure I get to where I am going.
Yes, frustrating to have to limit the heating (just in case) and limit ‘hoofing’ to 65mph. For £179 a month it’s acceptable and an easy albeit soulless drive but give me 400 mile range whatever the weather, climate control on and 5 mins to refill. EV’s at lower price point not there as primary car yet. IMO

BYD Seal excellence on a 3 year lease including fitted charger, insurance, tyres and maintenance on salary sacrifice. 10000 miles per year at £481 a month.

Works out at £11563 over 2 years or 23.7% of the £48695 list price.

Seems a reasonable deal, worth a look or is over 500hp really necessary?

This looked to be a good deal - all be it 3 seater van.

Works out at £350 a month (once you add in the deposit and VAT).

My wife’s passenger version has lost £30k in depreciation in the last 18 months (£1,500 a month).

Talk me out of a Volvo ex30 twin motor performance plus, 3 years, 11000 miles per year including charger fitted at home, insurance, maintainance, tyres at £433 on salary sacrifice.

Works out just under 25% of rrp over 2 years but obviously less than that once insurance etc is included.

Obviously no deposit. My man maths is telling me that this would in reality work out costing me around £330 a month when I factor in the things I pay now which I won’t on this lease, insurance, service, tyres and a decent saving from charging at home instead of filling up with unleaded.

Balls, after convincing the wife the deal has gone., snooze and you lose.
I was going to suggest you talk to newsatten who would probably happily talk you out of it based on his current experience with one of these or similar (basically, broke down, 6 months old, no parts available, been told not to expect to see the car again until sometime next year) but you’ve been saved by the bell!
No i havent because the deal has jsut reappeared and I have gone for it. I didnt read your post first though! nevermind

I've just ordered a Kodiaq 7 seater at a better deal than this but wonder if anyone has compared them by driving both?

Leasing options are running with Astra Ultimate Tourers again.

9+35 6k incl maintenance etc for £243.78 Factory order. £212.81 without maint.

For some reason the same search on leasing.com shows lower prices. ??
Even lower for GS spec.

I spoke to Bluechilli last Monday. I was told car was being built that week, and delivery pencilled for last two weeks in December. Going to chase them for another update.

£350 including VAT? That looks like a very nice deal...

I got the passenger version (leased, thank god eek) because it was really good value, but the van would almost certainly suit me better... the boot's always full of stuff and the rear seats have been used maybe a dozen times in ten months.

They're really nice cars, but the VW user interface is the worst I've ever encountered. Truly awful.
