Anyone done any of the Santander 123 deals recently? I seem to recall some saying in the past that nobody actually checks if you have a Santander 123 account. There are one or two in there that aren't hideous (by today's standards):

My current lease isn't up for 18 month, but I'll have my eye on their Mazda CX-60 deals towards the end of this year. Base spec looks lovely (everything you need and nothing you don't) with good range PHEV engine I need. https://www.santanderconsumer.co.uk/offers/great-o...
VWFS have recently changed the extension policy. It’s now up to 12 months extra at same monthlies, pro rata mileage and irrelevant of deposit (makes no sense but there you go).
I’m relieved as it wasn’t many months ago they weren’t allowing extensions beyond the 6 months. Keeping my A6 into its 4th year after an original 2 year deal. My renewal at 2 years was recalculated and raised, but now the same @ £310 a month. Hoping beyond all hope the car market calms down by the end of this year..

Wow that really was a steal. I was a little late to the party on the S90/V90 deals, but I was still very happy with mine and would bite a dealer's hand off for the chance to repeat the one I have!!
Out of interest, does the monthly rate for the extension equate to the total paid (deposit+monthlies/contract duration in months), or simply the monthlies you've been paying during the contract? In other words if you put a big deposit down would the monthlies for the extension be higher than current monthlies? Mine was a 3+35 so I'm guessing it's the total cost divided by 38 each month that I will pay during the extension?
The deposit is irelevant, that’s the basis for your payments during the initial contract. The extension is based upon other factors and will either go up or down, your deposit from the initial point shouldn’t make any difference. Most reputable lessors reduce monthlies as the car is obviously worth less. VWFS for example reduced one by £80 for me. Does anyone know what has happened to basically all Mercedes leasing deals? I can’t find any anywhere that aren’t electric.
Occasionally it comes down to sales strategies - I was surprised to see new Mercs when renting a car last month, as they hadn’t really been pushing them as fleet cars recently. They’re about to reveal a replacement for the C-Class Coupé and E class Coupé, as one car that sits in the middle of both - and I’m very interested in leasing it but the lack of Merc lease deals makes me feel like it’ll be impossible. As always chase the deal not the car I guess.

Should I take the Tiguan R-Line 190ps Petrol DSG 4 Motion that I have the option of currently for 1+47 at £387 a month?? Handing back my ridiculously cheap Golf R Estate that I got in Feb 2018 and have managed to keep hold of. The Tiguan was ordered November 2021 and has just recently landed at the dealership. Its a standard car with White paint - like the R is, so happy enough with the colour and how it looks against the black trim etc.
Was hoping for something more along the lines of the R power wise, but that requires a heck of a lot more than £387 a month!
It seems a no brainer, unless I am adamant I want a performance model.
I have also seen the Cupra Leon on Leaseloco that was mentioned a page or two earlier - that's about the next best deal I have seen/would consider - but not sure about the Cupra's to be honest.
Suppose I could chuck a tuning box on the Tiguan and maybe get it to 245PS which would be a bit nicer.
Thanks for any viewpoints!
I took out a 4 year lease deal in a Tiguan Match £244 a month back in March 2020 also concerned that the last year would be scary times if something went wrong, but I have just signed up to the VW all in plan which gives me 2 Services, 2 MOTs and more importantly 2 years Warranty and 2 Years Breakdown all for £29.99 a month which I think is a no brainer and can cancel when I return my car. So I wouldn’t worry and do what I have, I did look for an independent warranty but they alone were updates of £40 a month and not even a genuine VW Garge who would carry out the repairs Was hoping for something more along the lines of the R power wise, but that requires a heck of a lot more than £387 a month!

I mentioned this deal, but was somewhat slated for not detailing every combination of deposit/monthlies and so gave up.
Anyway, worth noting that we’ve now received the car and it’s actually the mini-refreshed late-22 Premium+ model, which was a nice surprise.

I asked Zen for spec of the old MY and they suggested I look on forums so not particularly helpful - perhaps some of the others looking at them now will fare better.
Also, the email I got responding to initial enquiry said the e-2008's qualify for their free ohme charger offer - I asked to be sure & they do not...
Hey guys,
I’m looking for a new car for my wife. She really likes the Q4 Etron but I can find any deals for the S-line version under £600. Our budget is £4-500p/m ideally.
I’ve started to look at the Tesla deals and would be happy to move quick on it but don’t know anything about Teslas because they’re not my favourite looking cars but I’d we can get one on a deal then we could be tempted.
Do any of the dealers have these in stock?

I was thinking of extending my Audi into its 4th year (the deals are so bad right now!). Audi do the exact same offer; but I couldn’t see any info about cancelling on the website? I’d only need it for a year, so if I cancelled upon return, would I not be liable for the second years’ costs…?Don’t worry go for it in the current climate good deal

Yeah there are quite a few pre-registered Model 3 & Y floating around - we've ordered a 3 which I'm hoping will be delivered within a couple of weeks.I’m looking for a new car for my wife. Have a look on Leaseloco for an idea of price on 'stock' vehicles, then maybe choose one of brokers. We're using Select and they've been excellent so far.

No you can cancel at anytime BUT you would have to pay for what you have used if that makes sense, for example if you had one service and MOT you would just need to cover the cost of that and if insufficient monthly payments had been made just pay the balance for what you have used NOT the remaining 12 months I have it in an email from my VW dealership carl123uk said:

It can be purchased as a one off payment. Its £720 or around £500 when on sale twice a year. It doesn’t make much sense to pay monthly if you aren’t keeping the car for the entire period, we will only use it for one year and we got a £1800 claim out of it, a service and an MOT and possibly the second depending on when the car is returned. Because it was purchase during the Black Friday event, it only cost a bit more than a service and MOT so it’s worthwhile. I am waiting for the other sale to get it on another Audi on lease. Roasdisde assistance is included regardless on all leases with VWFS so don’t factor that into your calculations for value. Marc118 said:

If you're going electric, are you or your wife able to purchase a car through your employer or company? Salary sacrifice or company cars are the only economical way of owning EVs right now, and they are better than ICE lease deals which aren't great since Covid. Most employers have a salary sacrifice car scheme these days.I’m looking for a new car for my wife. She really likes the Q4 Etron but I can find any deals for the S-line version under £600. I too was looking at the Q4 eTron 6 months ago. I could've got it for under £500 per month on salary sacrifice for the top spec version and that includes insurance, services, tyres, breakdown and 10k+ miles. We went with the BMW iX3 M Sport Pro in the end, but also looked at the EV6, Tesla Model Y and similar cars in that class. Private leasing of EVs was far too expensive last year and has got worse.

I disagree if you are keeping the car makes sense to pay upfront but if you are only keeping it until the fourth year lease ends why would I pay for the second year and not get a refund ? By paying monthly you can cancel at anytime and not lose any moniesSpenny20 said:

Because as the other user said, wouldn’t you then need to pay for what you use? If you get the plan, you would likely be using one service and MOT so it’s already worth it for the one year anyway with the warranty for peace of mind. As I used for the example, I got one service, MOT and a warranty claim for the price of a bit more than an over priced service so it’s pretty good value for money regardless of how long you have the car, if you wait for the discounted price. Seems a decent deal on the Audi A4 S-Line Avant
