Have just found this which works out ever so slightly cheaper:

https://discovercarleasing.co.uk/deals/car-leasing...

They also have the manual version for a bit less too.
That's a good deal considering other car prices.
I had a look at the spec out of genuine interest. It's so basic they even felt the need to mention "ice scraper" as a standard feature.
But, if the price is right ........

For comparison the Kia Xceed was a similar price last time I check. That has a much better specification, if that's important to anyone.

Currently, we have a BMW Gran Tourer 218i on a 24 months lease at £215 a month with 8k per annum milage.
We are looking at a replacement lease (ideally a hybrid) to cater for 2 adults and 3 young children and delivered before the end of this current lease - April 2022.

Cars we like the look of on a 2-4 years were the Cupra Formentor Hybrid and Toyota RAV4 Hyrbrid however we have been advised by the dealers that we would be looking at July 2022 at the earliest for delivery.

Due to the delayed delivery times, we have gone back to BMW and asked them about the possibility of extending our current lease.
They have come back to us with if we were to extend from Jan 2022 until April 2023 with a maximum of 20k mileage at the end of the lease (we are currently on 10k) we would continue to pay the same monthly rate of £215.

What do you all think of us extending the current lease or are there any other better options out there?
I've just ordered the RAV4 on Friday and been advised today it's early Feb as the ETA. They are being cautious on this and saying it could be subject change.

Luke.

I ordered one about 6 weeks ago and was quoted March.

Have decided not to order anything. Santa Fe was quite good value but just couldn’t go for it, Tuscon not doing it for me either!

Going to hang on for any VW group deals in the new year, or may be buying something for the first time in 10 years. Have until October so no mad rush.

Any one have any insight if we might expect some new deals in 2022?

The market is pants!
I saw a decent looking deal on the new model Sportage that's due out around Feb next year at a couple of different brokers. Around £280/month on a 1 + 48, 8k miles for a GT line auto.

Phoned to ask about it and was told they can't place orders until 15th December. Will check back then and post a link if it's still on - although I fully expect it to be about £60/month higher by then

Maybe I’ve been lucky with who came and did my inspection, maybe it’s the market at the moment meaning the car going straight to auction helps and they’ve done a lighter inspection, but just thought I should comment given the bad press on PSA/Mannheim that it’s not always bad.
Mine has been sitting at the compound near Oxford since it had been picked up 5 weeks ago.. Not sure what they are waiting for.
Haven't even received any contract closing paperwork from ALD..
Do I even bother to chase them?

Re extension offer, I recently approached vwfs to extend our etron lease from 2 to 3 yrs.

Currently on an excellent 9/24 deal at 600 per month for 10k miles pa.

Offer to extend was £2k per month for extra 10k miles.

They clearly want the car back!
Don't forget you can go back every 30 days for a refreshed quote and the price will change. You are right, the likelihood of a decent extension deal is slim at the moment but you have nothing to lose by keeping on going back. The VWFS random number generator might side with you one month!

Whilst the current climate is very different, my extension requests for my S5 varied from over a grand to £10 cheaper than my current payment. The £10 cheaper was my 4th quote request that I took.

Also, you should be able to extend via their online portal for 6 months without any hassle. Someone posted a link approx 10 pages ago. They also do a 3 month informal extension on the same terms that you can request (or they used to anyway).

I’ve just done an informal extension of my VWFS lease. Max they will allow is 3 months unless you have another car on order with them. They told me that the informal extension can be cancelled at any time without penalty.I might ask for a quote for a formal extension given your feedback above.

Sorry mate, it was from my local dealer but I took the quote below for them to match;

https://www.leaseloco.com/car-leasing/hyundai/kona...

They wanted £410 to start with but I said it was that price or no deal. Colour option was free too and should be here for March
That’s the price we got albeit £403 for 15k miles.
Holdcraft Hyundai via whatcar.
Paying maintenance £30 a month on top.
The wife needed a stock vehicle at short noticeback in June so we went with Britannia leasing for our 64kwh Premium Kona, delivered in less than 3 weeks.

Got it down to £327 with no fees on an 1+23, 10k per annum mileage, maintence package is £6 a month direct with Hyundai, this was emailed seperately about a week before delivery.

With Hyundai having a 5 year warranty I regret not going for the 1+35 deal at £310 a month. We are on course to save around £1250 this year on fuel.

Wife loves it, during the warmer months a full charge could easily do 280 miles, now down to around 240 miles with heaters on.

I think that maybe the inspection people have more than one level of service they offer the finance companies.

Standard 15 minute Inspection "Make sure its the right shape and most of the wheels are on it"

Middle of the road 30 minute Inspection "Inspect the car fully to BRVLA standards"

Pink Leasing style Inspection " Make st up using pictures from other similar cars and try to find more crafty ways to fleece what for all intents and purposes are already never returning customers"

Remember most of these cars are going to auction where they will be boought by buyers who are buying with someone else's money and they will inspect it for about 15 seconds.

My cars due back early Jan, been given 2 quotes for 3 month and 6month extensions. Very reasonable to be honest (payments less than I’m paying now).

Debating the 3 month to see me through - but still unsure if the market will be any better come April or do I bite the bullet and extend for the 6 months?

There’s absolutely nothing out there taking my fancy…

I say take the 6.

Don’t think much will improve by March. If it was improving we would know by now.

Don't think you'll beat the Arnold Clark deal at the moment. No broker fee either.

Anyone know which company Lex autolease use for end of lease inspection and do you need to valet the car before return?
