I'm on the same page, looks like BEV takeup is a bit stronger in the latter part of this year so I suspect manufacturers are learning how to shift enough cars without fire-sale pricing. Or balancing the fines to pay on ICE sales vs the discounts to offer on BEVs.

I've got my eye on the ID Buzz which is now £398 for 4 years on a 1+47 with 12k miles, spot on for my family, but quite honestly it's 3 months too soon to afford it.

So here's hoping there will be similar pricing at the end of March.
I read yesterday, that dealers are postponing delivery on non-EVs until next year to manipulate numbers. There's also a chance, that there will be a lot of pre-registered EVs available from next quarter.

Just get onto leaseloco and put in your criteria. Been this price for a few days, central uk leasing were quoting £402 I think.

I basically need a wall battery installing and a market where I can easily sell the missus current car before I am going to commit.

I reckon £180/month off my electricity bill with the wall battery, and £120/month off petrol costs. Similar service costs, won't need tyres soon, lower risk of needing out of warranty repairs. Offset by higher insurance and the need to install a wall charger

I'm looking at £100 extra going out per month and that's not too bad vs a repair on our 55k mile Duster rearing its head, but really I need another £50 off the monthly cost before it becomes a no brainer.

Worth considering that a 190 mile range is a real-world realistic range for a 77kwh Buzz in this weather.

Thanks, yeah it's not really a problem for us. We mostly have a 12 mile each/way commute and shopping trips, some 50-70 mile e/w round trips in school hols and 3 or 4x 90 mile e/w trips per year which are the only ones that would really concern me with a cold-weather 180-190 miles range - but with a wall charger at the destination so we could top up if needed.

Somehow that all adds up to 12k miles a year but it's very rare it'd be challenging the usable range. And after 2 hours the kids need a loo stop anyway.

Young lad came to collect, going straight to Aston Barclay auction. Took him 5 mins. He didnt bother looking at the car plus it was raining. He just put question marks on the ticklist and it was in rain. I signed it and that was that. Didnt even check the boot or under hood. A couple alloys were kerbed and he did tick that they were all kerbed but I still signed. Either way it was raining and he just put down 'question marks' on list. Think they'll check at auction. Anyways, have him on cctv if they ask for anything that their guy didnt check! Mileage was ober by 54 miles only.

Doubt they'll kick up a fuss as it only did 15k in 3 years. Returned 3 leases now, previous 2 serviced once in 5 years, tyres flat, etc. Not a penny charged.
So I did get an email from Zen for a bill of £672! They said 4 kerbed alloys at £125 each and £172 for a scratch on bumper. Minus a £500 waiver which apparently was included in my lease they want £172. A couple of alloys were kerbed (anyone driving cupras would know these alloys protrude so kerbing is inevitable). But definitely not all 4. Anyhow, the scratch / scuff they stated was definitely not there when I handed the car! Emailed them that the collection guy literally did not inspect the car as it was raining and just put down :?" on all the checklist sheet.. so a bit unfair that they can charge for any damage now. Im disputing it, unfortunately i didnt take photos of collection. Just have cctv of collection which took no more than 5 minutes of which it was mainly him just filling out his paperwork.

Zen replied its not the collectors job to thoroughly inspect the car and its done at auction... thats BS as all previous 4 leases I returned were properly inspected. Why have a ticklist of checks if they dont check..

that's odd - how can they prove the damage took place during your lease period and on on the collecting drivers time post collection? I'd definitely be disputing.

Maybe by him putting down question marks when collecting you were leaving yourself open to this ?

Regardless that’s really a very good deal. I have one and it’s a fantastic car and with a decent saving with a good ev tariff for me it’s a no brainer and would go for that if I was in a position to do so

Had the same with Pink Leasing.

Long and short they took me to court, I won as the judge agreed that damages needed to be noted at point of collection, once out of my direct control it was not my responsibility, I stated mileage at point of collection and then milage at subsequent further 'inspection' a lot of damage can happen within 50 miles.

Intrigued by some of the Nissan Ariya deals. 87kw battery, 4wd and looks a nice place to be.

£1-2k initial (still working this bit out, getting conflicting details)
£299 fee
£335pm for 36 months
8000 mpa

Opinions? Has anyone got experience of the car? Anyone seen anything better for it?
Your quote comes up as just under £350 on 35+1 when I used the calculator on leasing.com

I have one but the 2WD.
I also saw that the price dropped down again
https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/leasing-op...
£310 on 24+1, 5K
That is ridiculously low for a 50K SUV.
How’ve you got on with it?

My interest has also been piqued on the Nissan ariya for the mrs.

I’m looking at
8k miles per annum
1+35 @ £350pm
£12,899 over the term (Inc broker fee)

https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/leasing-op...

But also interested in the ID buzz
8k miles per annum
1+35 @ £399pm
£14,360 over the term

https://www.leaseloco.com/car-leasing/volkswagen/i...

Around £1465 difference between the two. Not sure the mrs would be happy in the buzz but the kids would love it

If you don't have the 'head up display' option you can turn it off via shortcut menu quickly by turning off 'road sign assist' with 2 button pushes, other guy on here mentioned it (thanks) and I tried it and it works all bonging gone, you have to do it every time though. If you have head up display though it's about 7 button pushes and deep in menus. On the shortcut menu you can also switch off lane departure thing as well, again needs to be done every time.

Can't permanently turn off keyless entry unfortunately, but you can put your key in sleep mode so it stop transmitting but you have to do it everytime you lock it, hold lock down on fob and at same time click twice the unlock button, key will flash 4 times.

Thanks. Is the road sign assist quick access option not available if you have HUD, or it is just something you wouldn't want to turn off because you have HUD?

Maybe I could word that better... can you not turn off road sign assist if you have HUD using the quick access menu?

Im not 100% sure but I think you can turn off road sign assist on the shortcut with HUD but for some reason it doesn't turn off the bonging as well to do that its the 7 clicks, where as with non HUD turning it off via the shortcut also turns off the bonging as well.

FTK on this back in July/Aug with contract cars. Debated back and forth ever since on whether to keep the order or not.

Got delivered last week and I must say it took all of about 5 seconds to realise keeping it was the wise thing to do! An absolute brutal machine!

A little different to the I4 I’ve just come out of, and brings the same joy (and more) I got when the S5 deals were out a few years back.
