Very much see the appeal of one of these. As a car to chuck kids and stuff in and not give a st about, it’d be ace.
Call me a tight wad, but it is a £15k car and I would very much give a...about it and any damage caused to it.

Thing to do then is buy a used one at whatever price level that you stop giving a st about.

Unless you come over all precious and wrap your car up in cotton wool scuffs and scrapes in daily use are inevitable and anybody with any sort of life has better things to do than fuss over keeping cars spotlessly clean all the time.

In three years time that £15k example will cost perhaps half that, so for peace of mind buy then and just use it 'till you scrap it. That way whatever condition it gets into or however much it's worth at any point whilst you're doing so really doesn't matter.

I've done a search but can't find the info I need, does anyone know the open tailgate dimensions? Dacia supply the width of the opening but not the height for some reason.

On the face of it, Dacia's look decent value, however, I would be very concerned about residual values at two or three years old.

This is a very important consideration when buying any new car with your own cash.

Dacia, across all models, consistently have been the best performers in the UK for residuals.

The Jogger will be a huge success.

This could be a great car.

I'm surprised that they only offer one choice of engine, and no electric versions, but I'm sure that it will be more than adequate for the use it is put to.

RV on them is very good. Used car market a bit bonkers at the moment but even back 6months ago they are very good news in the used car market.

Only if you swap cars every 2-3 years? I tend to buy and keep for 10-12 years

yes Even in proportional terms they hold up very well, in absolute terms they generally perform far better than anything directly comparable in terms of residuals. What other brand new seven-seater could you buy and (in normal times not the current bubble) expect to only lose about £7k over three years of ownership?

It's a fair point, though.

We may get the Spring here at some point, but I guess it's much smaller.

I love that, great looking car which looks super practical. Interested to know how much interior space there is, could be a good option for a car camper.

Dacia seem to be in the same sweet spot now as Skoda were 20 years ago - badge snobs still sneer, but they're making great cars at super low prices.

The fact that the largest wheels they offer are 16" really endears them to me, I hate the trend of slapping oversize wheels on cars.

Returned from holiday in Madeira last month. Had a ride in a Dacia 7 seater. Lots of them over there. Not the model being discussed, but more boxey.
Fairly new, and it drove exceptionally well. Certainly left an impression on me, especially after reading the throbbing Duster posts.

One of the few cars that are actually worth the money new. They are reliable, reasonably well built, honest and some actually look good. Smart product!

Dacia seem to be in the right place. Super cheap ICE cars like this will be competitive against EVs for many years.

It's a decent looking car and even the top end model is only £17,500 with an added spare wheel. I mean for literally lugging a family about, you're not going to find something better brand new.

Also that's not entirely poverty spec and comes with some decent features. I suppose by using older Renault parts they're not setting up brand new production lines for certain things, less design costs etc. Very clever way of making good cars very affordable.

The responses to this seem significantly more positive than to the 200bhp Zafira in SOTW
