It’s a very impressive project and he comes across well; he’s clearly passionate about the product and hugely industrious. A couple of chums have had dealings and had pleasant, professional experiences.

Good luck to him.

With the motor trade as we know it in such turmoil, time will tell if it was a wise decision to be spending such a huge amount of money on a bespoke facility, be it catering for the very top end of the market. I'm sure THJ knows what he's doing.
Yes I think there is motor trade and there is motor trade. When you are selling cars and collections for the likes of Toto Wolff and Bernie Ecclestone you are operating in the kinds of niches that are immune to the kind of financial squeezes that the more mainstream are being hit with. That said, when you're getting hit with unexpected costs like 29 grand just to install the car lift casettes, they are going to have to shift a lot of metal to start paying back the build costs.

isn't it tom Hartley who was making racist remarks on the internet?
Now literally every single facet of him is irrelevant. Thank you so much for alerting us.

Honestly if someone had a framed portrait of Hitler in their office and was willing to do me a good deal on a great car I'd be fine with it. biglaugh

Looking at the architects renders and work done so far, it has all the architectural ambition of a ten year old garden centre.

We have recently completed some work at this place, there are some quite impressive design elements going on here. It’s going to look quite amazing when the cars turn up.

A lot of money spent here that’s for sure, certainly in another universe that I relate to. I do however respect his commitment.

Junior has done very well for himself, and comes across as a lovely knowledgeable guy, funny how Tom senior hardly mentions him, but I don't think they have fallen out as far as I am aware.

The new showroom will be stunning.

I live quite close and supplied to the construction.

Overall I think it looks good. Perhaps by pushing to the boundries it looks a little cramped on the site from the road, but he obviously want's to utilise as much of the site as he can.

The frontage being lower that the road looks weird at the moment, but will probably look better once the hoarding is down and landscaping done.

Nearby here too smile Actually used to be a customer of Firs garage (and their extortionate petrol station) back in the Mitsubishi days too, must say I thought THJ had done well to fit quite so much into that site if I'm honest - you've probably hit the nail on the head as to how he's managed to do it.

Sounds like the strap line from a very specialist video circa 1983.
