Superformance Ford GT40 Continuation?

Eg
Seems a way to get a newly built (& thus hopefully reliable) car with a manual box and nat-asp engine.
Aventador does sound like a good move tho, given you like Lambos & want something with good history that won't be too needy.
Just looking on AT and PH, the John Holland car doesn't look obviously overpriced to me, at £190k. While there are cheaper cars, they've done 4x the miles and had 4x the owners, and are being sold by the kind of West Yorkshire based outfits whose online reviews include dissatisfied customers reporting successful legal action against them. On a car like this, paying a bit more for a good car and to deal with someone you trust seems perhaps worthwhile.

Its a position I'm envious of. I'd hold out for that Lambo. as you've seen they're rare for a reason, its also a safe place for that sort of money.
Anything from woking just won't be a patch on it.
I do like the Gardner Douglas cobras though, they're the very best going. there's been some sold for £40k, could make a great stop gap.
Keep searching. An Orange Lambo is my dream spec, so I get to live my life viciriously.

Growing up watching GTD40s being built, it appeals a lot, but i’d have to build one, ive just built a rather large 10 car garage which includes a workshop facility for exactly this at a later date, absolutely love them, that and the Lola they used to build..
On the John Holland front, yes, you’re absolutely right but I made an offer, went through ironing out details and was then told that my offer was no longer acceptable, principals on this one are far more important than the car for me, they’ll be another, this is just a ‘stop gap’ car and I have cars to enjoy, maybe it had been a long week and was a late friday converstaion, benefit of the doubt and all that..
Sorry to hear that and I agree it's pretty poor form to accept an offer and then rescind it. Was it in SoR and the owner decided it wouldn't return enough of was it the dealer changed their mind?On the John Holland front, yes, you’re absolutely right but I made an offer, went through ironing out details and was then told that my offer was no longer acceptable, principals on this one are far more important than the car for me, they’ll be another, this is just a ‘stop gap’ car and I have cars to enjoy, maybe it had been a long week and was a late friday converstaion, benefit of the doubt and all that..
