The background looks like all their pics so I d say it had arrived. Anyway good knowledge, often thought the warm one rather than the hot one in a range is the better bet.
ETA In ref to the E400, usual iOS out of sync despite refresh issue.

Sort of a late Friday picture, not for sale but top end barging.

Actually it might have been for sale

Different plates but related numbers - plate swap ?

Some might call it heresy, others individuality …

I wonder what they paid for that E400. Such a lovely car.

Makes me want to get into the Japanese import game.

Been up a week so it’s probably already been spotted but waftey burbley BRG E with 62k on the clock for five grand seems nice.
In Surrey so it must be perfect, right?

You really need someone in Japan that you trust to check vehicles over before bidding on them. There are some real horrors that get chucked into auction over there.

Yes, I think that would be very important. Somewhat of pipe-dream currently though.

If I were asked to guess the mileage I'd put it at double the figure on the clock. At least.

I've kicked the idea around my head a few times. Goonet and carfromjapan give you indicated landed cost to the docks over here, then you need to add taxes etc, getting things like radio/navigation sorted. I couldn't get the sums to add up on an A4 Allroad to cover the risk.

Quite liked that and yes, they're massive. Mate had a 1.9 CDTi many years back, utter workhorse but seemed to be pretty good at moving stuff around the place. Engine is basically derived from the Omega just with a few tweaks for the ever tightening emission regs. Old Omega estate is a great thing too, just almost extinct now... then again so are Vectras

It knows how to fail an MOT though.

Despite its apparent low mileage, its nearer £3 i’d have said.

I had 2 Omega estates in the past managed to fit an American fridge freezer in one, cavernous load space.

Taxes, fog light, speedo conversion are the minimum for a car over 10yrs old iirc, underseal probably recommended & nav/radio/remap to 95 ron if you need that too.

Unless it's something really interesting or special to you it's not worth it imo. I pay much more on insurance than if I just settled for the slower and less fun Lexus GS.

beforward japan also shows a UK landed price if you wanted to do it yourself. If you want to pay more then people like TorqueGT will do all the hard work and you just pick what you want, and they do all the graft. Both my Skyline and Crown came through them and can't fault them, I found the old receipts the other day, 6 yrs ago I paid £6,480 for the Crown - buttons for the amount of car I ended up getting.

I was looking a various Mercs and Jags on goonet and the sums don't work once all the known costs are included.

Re Tommo post - underseal not usually needed for non JDM I.e. Euro cars as the factory doesn’t distinguish betw those staying where roads are salted, and going elsewhere.
The 2 Jap imports I have had have been extremely good underneath given both appr 15yo.
But I cba with the thought of learning the process, doing the conversion, sourcing in the first place, transporting from the docks until it’s registered etc. I’il let the niche specialists do it.
