Desirable wheels in s/v40 circles, although I never got why.
I really like them.

I had the 1.9 t4 manual in orange. Was a lovely car to pootle in and could turn a bit of speed too.
As a kid the T4 manual that my father had briefly blew my mind with the sheer levels of neck-strain on boost. When this popped up on ebay I was ready to buy until I realised it's not a fking T4.

I keep thinking abut the V40 above. I wonder if you could get a CoC from Volvo to make it zone compliant.
Quite rare now especially manual t4’s. Haven’t seen a good one for a long time. Shouldn’t have got rid of mine.

18 years ago this thread started! Are we due for a rename due to inflation? It would be 1-8 large if so biggrin

The spoiler is awful, but this is cool.
I absolutely love that. Rwd manual V6, great combo. Shame he isn't up for swaps, would have offered him my car and a grand hehe

One idiot + BCA access + XK8 for comedy money equals....

A short MOT XK8 convertible with a supposedly non operating roof and non opening boot. I think someone pressed the valet button instead of the boot release button, and I was willing to bet real money on it hehe

It will be rotten, the question is how rotten...

I wonder if there is any treatment for my Compulsive Heap Purchasing Disorder.

That is great. I prefer the styling on this XK than the next generation.

I want to take you back to 1996, Leigh Mills car park, Coventry, the first time I saw one of these and I was in awe.

After the XJS, which I personally think is the ugly duckling between the E type and this, the X100 was just refreshing to see. Back to a jaguar that had curves and looked stunning.

Great looking car and hope it is not too rusty.

I've paid a nice man from Facebook to pick it up on a flatbed and drop it off at my house on Friday, so not too long to find out how bad it is.

I certainly looks remarkably un-rusty for one of these

Is that a replacement for your current XK or the X300? Looks good, hope it still drives OK.

Here's an E39 at half thread to distract from the agricultural posting that has been going on recently: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202603010...

Bonus: Cheap V12 7 series with tan interior and some minor issues: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202603030...

It'll replace the ratbag X300, which looks like it's found a new home for £250 who will see out the 9 odd months of the MOT. The crossclimate2 tyres on it must be worth 3x what the car is hehe

ETA - the scrap man is so keen on the X300 he's offered FOUR HUNDRED POUNDS!

If I were ever in the position to buy, or indeed need a Unimog, it would be something more akin to this:
