No tax or MOT, cheap insurance and yet you get to enjoy cruise control, air-conditioning, electric velour and a slushbox as you waft into a CAZ without charge. Throw your modern in the bin and become instantly cooler.

Id happily have that sat on my gravel drive and take artistic shots of it at sunset with the wisteria and willow woven hedges as a backdrop, whilst my wife gracefully egresses said vehicle wearing her finest holland cooper tweed suit.
But fantasy aside, that IS gorgeous. Lines and proportions have aged wonderfully. How can a company that built such a looker have then produced this monstrosity?

Oh god, that's gorgeous. I keep thinking I should go electric/hybrid for a daily and then I think why not go classic barge instead. W00DY said:

Looks like someone started a refurb, then gave up.Exactly the type of car I'd like to mess about with when the kids have flown the nest and I need a hobby.

I thought that but it seems a disproportionate amount of effort relative to what's been expended on the rest of it. If it's mechanically and electrically as described, and the service history is genuine, then the rest looks pretty easy to rectify on the driveway to an acceptable standard.
£1500-1700 probably buys it.
